Since the Knicks play with playoff intensity all the time, the regular season games should be relevant.

After that Wolves sweep of the Suns in the first round (after the Suns sweep of the Wolves in the regular season) i stopped looking at reg season results as basis for my picks this playoffs. LOL

They are going to get exposed in that they are not conference title contenders. They beat a badly beaten up Bucks squad— nothing much to gain from that.

These Knicks are dogs. I expect them to dominate the glass and win with their defense. Pacers need to be scorching hot to have a chance. Knicks in 5 or 6.

Pacers were 28th in rebounding for the season, could be a big factor, Sixers were 20th and that was without Embiid for a good portion of the season.

I see the Knicks killing them on the glass more than they killed the 76ers, but we'll see.

I was thinking the same thing. The Knicks seem to match up much better with the Pacers, as there is no monster center like Embiid in the middle that you need to double-team constantly. Actually at what position the Pacers really even have the edge? Knicks in 5.

I want to hope the Pacers can give the Knicks a good six games, but realistically, I think the Knicks probably take this in 5.

As Hoop said, at this point, the Pacers are playing with house money. We got beyond our pre-season expectations, and have gained valuable playoff experience for our young team, while also letting FAs know, they could play with Haliburton and help elevate this team to a new level. Anything that happens from here is just icing on the cake.

That said, I will always vote defense winning over offense in a series like this, but that is amplified even more when the defensive team has more seasoned/playoff battled vets. I think the Knicks are going older brother the hell out of the Pacers here and its probably not going to be super fun to watch as a Pacers fan.

For the Pacers to have a chance, they really need to have pre-injury Haliburton back. He's getting more heat than he should for how he played in round 1, but his play was definitely a concern. There were long stretches of games where he looked scared...which is wild when you know the kind of competitor he is. For the Pacers to do anything here, we need Haliburton to snap out of it, and just attack 110% of the time, wearing the Knicks out. If the Knicks slow the game down, its going to be brutal.

Only so much you can do to slow a team down when you pursue offensive rebounds and they try to run even off of makes. If Indy comes out hot, it's really hard to keep things slow.
