PG is not the answer.

I don't really think so either, but on paper he's a perfect fit as that wing defender who can help Maxey create and space.

Lebron could cruise through the regular season and not kill himself just trying to reach the play in. I want it.

They are good just need a few tweaks. Firstly who cares if they lost in the 1st round. They are obviously better than the Magic/Cavs/Pacers and the only reason they had to face the Knicks as the 7 seed was because Embiid got hurt. If Joel gets hurt, their season is over anyway but their best chance is to bank on some miracle season similar to what Toronto got from Kawhi in 2019.

They have cap space so spend it wisely. Probably will go after PG13 and I think they have a good chance to get him.

Then add the remaining 10 players. Their bench will be bad next year most likely.

It is good Philly has capspace to bring some help. They could really use a proven winner, say someone like Jimmy when he recovers. Or maybe a great shooter and playmaker, like Harden. Or at least get things easier on Maxie by bringing a playmaker and defender, say someone like healthy Simmons. Something along those lines, if they do that - watch out.

Keep. Good FO

Keep/ Good 1st yr coach. Tuff team . Maxey was awesome too.

Too many injuries esp with Embiid. Performed worst than expected (had them at least 2nd round or ECF) , but they held up.

Treadmill at the moment possibly rising, but they just need a few tweaks and have cap space, assets. And not really too old of a team. Few offseason moves could push them over the top. Esp if Embiid can stay healthy!

The Jimmy ship sailed three years ago. I believe if they had signed him when they had the chance, they would have a ring already.

They need to trade flopbiid. They should have done it after last year. They need to do it this year. By no means am I comparing him skill wise with Pascal or OG, but the situation is eerily playing out the same. The FO will hold on for too long, and will end up trading him a season or 2 too late to get a proper haul. Rip the band aid off now!

It's pretty crazy that they could waive the non-guaranteed deals for Paul Reed and Ricky Counsil and decline the TO on Jeff Dowtin and literally only have Embiid under contract next year. If they do that and then add in Maxey's cap hold and the minimum roster charges they could have about $62M in cap space.

I wonder who they target with all that cap space? I don't think Paul George will leave the Clippers, but he'll be able to leverage the 76ers offer to get a max deal from the Clippers. Maybe they can trade for a star into their cap space.

Edit - forgot Pascal Siakim is a free agent. He could be a potential target. Don't know how likely he is to consider leaving the Pacers, but I think he would be a good fit with Embiid & Maxey.

PG is too old. It's like his 15th year in the league. Signing him would be a disaster.

I agree with Chuck Everett. They need good, solid role players instead of a 3rd star. Guys like Grayson Allen or McDaniels (pipe dream) would be perfect to compliment Maxey & Bid.

Have to trade Embiid now before his body breaks down and his value tanks. They can get a haul right now and retool around Maxey going forward. The process should officially end

Chuck Everett wrote:To me, looking for a third star is the wrong way to go. They would be better off adding legit good role players. Paul George isn't going to elevate them more than adding a group of role guys.

Morey should have been ashamed with the roster he had this past season. I legit didn't like Oubre nor Lowry as your starters? like come on man. Nurse was pulling magic out of his ass to have this group winning when everyone healthy. They were top 10 in defense which was incredible work by him I thought. Batum was the only good piece on the bench.

Tough situation. I'd probably be in a situation where I'm officially still building around Embiid but covertly not looking to cannibalize the future Maxey eras.

If George wanted to come to Philly, that sounds great! Just a question of what the team needs to give up. Maxey is untouchable tho.

If he's available, I'd love for them to go all in on adding Lauri. IDK why I just feel like it's a perfect fit

If Ainge is willing to pick up the phone, the 76ers should push all their chips in on Lauri. Good fit next to Embiid and Maxey, also gives them a backup plan if Embiid's health can't hold since Lauri would be on a similar timeline with Maxey
