Great player, one of the most offensively gifted big men in history. Can do everything on that end of the court and I'm never not impressed by his shooting touch.

I'm also impressed by the way he fought through his injury. You could tell he could barely move and he was still hustling on defense.

Now that that's out of the way, and now that I don't have to root for them to get to game 7, its time to unload.

- Wanted nothing to do with the ball at the end of game 6. He would get the ball wide open and immediately start sprinting wherever Maxey was to absolve himself of responsibility for the play. This isn't Shaq who can't shoot. Embiid loves to pull up for jumpers and multiple times at the end of the game, he was wide open and didn't even CONSIDER shooting the rock

- The foul baiting is nothing new, but he really put on a masterclass this series. I've never seen a center do the Zab Judah shuffle so often, this man just throws himself into people in the paint hoping a whistle blows. If he had a step counter and it only activated when he foul baited, he'd still be in marathon shape

- The way he immediately walks to the stripe the millisecond his ears detect a whistle bugs me

- He's dirty or at the very least extraordinarily reckless with other people's health

- His whining face and his arms being perpetually in "touch down" position is almost as annoying as his foul baits

- I don't believe he will ever make it through a playoff series healthy. And in the miracle event that he does, he will still be Joel Embiid and do all of the above

- Him declaring for Team USA makes a lot of sense since he's a cowardly easiest path possible frontrunner

While I do agree with most of your points. Embiid is injured. Watch him as the game goes on. He doesn’t have a lot of lift in his legs. Pre injure embiid will take those jump shots.

Just not in the cards for him. He pay pretty well. Hart hit the big shot. Props to him. He did it in game 1 and now in game 6. So the Knicks had hart and Donte hit the big 3 in games 2 and 6. Their role players. Brunson scored points but he didn’t hit the most important shots.

It’s all facts. I think you can excuse a lot of the 4th quarter stuff to sheer lack of stamina due to just being back from the injury. But ultimately he has mental blockage in the playoffs now too. It’s a combination of both.

Really weird player. Truly amazing talent but also clearly plays the game the wrong way imo.
