Huge contrast in Pat Riley going ham on his team vs naive idiocy like this.

I don't see that as naive idiocy at all.

They were competitive with Dallas and were missing Kawhi.

They shot over 50% from three in the two games they won, they were not competitive at all, they just got lucky twice.

They lost by double digits the last two games including getting blown out in game 5 and were down 20 something in the elimination game. How is that competitive?

Their best player has a degenerative knee problem and little interest in playing in pain. There's a chance Kawhi makes it through an entire playoffs mostly intact, but I'd rate his chances even lower than Embiid's.

I think you almost have to wish for an injury who's recovery time coincides with like the WCF, but then how can the Clippers make it to the WCF without him?

Every game Kawhi has played in the last two years has been in pretty clear pain, he just sometimes cannot move at all.

Kawhi is extremely tough, his knees are just gone.

Really bad takes.

Kyrie played way way above his head. Only won game 2 by 3 points.

And again, missing a player widely considered to be a top 5, top 10 player.

The last two werent competitive though. How can you say a team losing by 20 as being competitive? It doesnt make sense at all. The clips were down 20 points in the mid third quarter of Game 5. The clips were down double figures the ENTIRE fourth quarter in game 6 and were at some point down 22 before the quarter was even half over.

They were competitive WITH Kawhi, but were still trailing the series with him playing. Without him, they were very clearly going to lose the series. Its a very simple concept. Yea, they won a close game 4 but the next two werent even close.

Kawhi was not active when the Clippers were eliminated in 01, 02, 03, 04. Run it back again.

You didn't watch much Mavs regular season he's been doing it all year. He'll score 2 in the first half and 17 in the 4th quarter. That's 4th quarter Ky.

Except that there's MUCH younger teams that are already better than them in the West.

Definition of insanity, if the core was in their mid to late 20's that's one thing not when they are going into their mid 30's

Bingo. And Memphis was obviously hurt all year and will surpass them. That means even IF they are running it back they are a 5-8 seed at best. You aren’t beating these much more talented, athletic, younger teams with this trio. So what is the logic?

They have enough to beat Dallas. Not having Kawhi is not an excuse.

He played exactly like this during the regular season, his stats are almost identical, just that he did 45% from 3 instead of 40% (had he missed two 3-pointers then he would have been at 40%) You have no clue what you are talking about and just exposed yourself.

And the Clippers wins were flukes. The first game the Mavericks scored 8 points in the second quarter. And it was not because of defense. They just did not show up. The second loss the Clippers went like 9 out of 13 on contested 3-pointers in the first quarter. They ended it with 39 points. They ended the game by shooting 62% from downtown because of that.

Kawhi has been missing in the playoffs for the past 4 years. It's time for a change
