I just don't care for suspensions especially in the playoffs.

This is a stupid take.

What if a Wolves player had slipped on that? How does that not punish everyone based on your logic? GTFO here with that ****.
You guys are BOTH WRONG! Only if someone did slip and injured themselves, THEN he gets suspended, otherwise a fine.

No difference then if someone drink and drive. If no one was hurt, he get off with a fine and community service, but had he kill someone, prison time. Just ask Ruggs!

Back in 2011 the Thunder threw water on the court between Dirks FTs to freeze him….no consequences

FWIW, the TNT guys barely mentioned it and Chuck said "it might get him a little fine".

Didn't he go after a referee with these throws? So technically he may be 0/2 in this regard as well? What a brick-fest.

He should've been suspended and would've been if it was a regular season - but it would've been series-ending event if he couldn't play in the game 3, so it ain't gonna happen.

But it's a good example that for the first time Nuggets as title contenders were favorites against the same level of a team - and they didn't live up to the pressure. What a meltdown that will be hardly forgotten.

Ahhh 2011. Back when sports fans weren't complete and utter babies.

I don't ever want anyone to be suspended unless they throw punches.

That's entirely different. Murray throws it when there's a live play in the court and the heat pad landed few inches away from KAT driving to the basket. Tough times really brought out the worst in people. It's as if Murray and even their head coach wanted to get ejected from this game out of frustration, they are now throwing each other under the bus, skipping postgame press conference that Justin Holiday is the one in the podium, not a classy act from the defending champs.

Seriously Jamal was reminding me of my 3.5 year old son. Put this dude in time out.

Yeah, i don't know how you can ignore someone throwing it INTO the play. Like maybe if he threw it at the ref as the ball was going the other way but you might be fine with a fine. But I think KATs foot actual was partially on it when he pivoted. Even if he didn't get hurt and just cause him a hard fall, it would go down as one of the crazier things to happen on the court in the past 10 years and would be the #1 story in sports.

If KAT tears his knee because of that, wow. I’m not a proponent of in-playoff suspensions but they have to sit him a game. Have to.

In the same way some people judge the quality of a shot by whether or not it goes in, or a defensive set by whether or not the other team scores, etc., the people claiming this shouldn't be a suspension are being too results-oriented. If Murray did the exact same thing and it landed in the exact same spot, but this time KAT slipped and suffered a major injury, those same people would agree a 5+ game suspension is warranted. But since nothing happened, they can't see how dangerous it is.

the media is going to pressure the NBA into suspending him. basically every talking head is calling for him to be suspended. guys get suspended a game for leaving the bench without even fighting. Murray threw a towel and a heating pack at a ref. Cant let a guy get away with that kind of behavior, no matter who it is

If a Wolves player did the same thing, and Jokic slipped on it and suffered a major, career-changing injury, you would call for that player to be suspended for a very long time.

Honestly, that was more dangerous than what Pat Bev did. Somebody could have easily got hurt stepping on that thing so a 1 game suspension is warranted.

the other angle of the vid is even more damning

not only did he stand a risk of injuring KAT, he also could have injured HIS OWN TEAMMATE as you can see in the vid where Reggie Jackson''s leg clearly kicks the heat pad.

This is a complete disregard for any noble aspect of basketball. Pure selfishness in the profession of sports, bare minimum one game suspension, but this kind of behavior warrants multiple games of suspension along with a hefty fine for willing player endangerment.

Like anyone of the angles would warrant a suspension:
1. Throwing something at a ref
2. Interrupting an active play while on the bench (this would be like a guy on the sideline of a NFL game bumping a receiver trying to stay inbounds)
3. Throwing a foreign object onto the court in a dangerous way that could cause injury.

Somehow, Murray was able to do all 3 at once.

I saw a clip from Legler, " he was 3 for 18, I'm not shocked he missed Mark Davis"... lol

If that's KAT throwing the heat pack, I can't imagine the attention it would be getting

...this is draymond level stupidity by Murray. I'm rooting for the nuggets but he probably should be suspended for that.
