He probably should've been suspended but I think the NBA really wants to avoid anything similar to what happened to Stoudemire or Draymond unless it's so egregious they have no choice(ex. multiple punches thrown and connected or brawl that gets out of control). Also wouldn't surprise me if there are some behind the scenes begging coming from networks and the whole betting thing as well.

A suspension may have benefitted the Nuggets.

Tough break.
** Embiid is the only MVP in NBA history to never make a conference final
** Philly won multiple playoff games without MVP Embiid
** Luka made the WCF without Brunson
** LeBron missed the playoffs with Davis
** Steph missed the playoffs with Klay

Even a brawl wouldn't suspend anybody.

Adam Silver is soft ass bitch. The sooner that bald headed **** goes away, the better the sport will be.

Can't believe I miss David Stern despite how much of an **** he was.

Nah it’s over 121 to 107

Clippers go on a 15-0 run right after this, and eventually win the game.

Absolutely should have been a suspension, but we know NBA is soft (see Embiid). That said, at least this probably benefits Minnesota anyway. Murray's been truly awful the entire playoffs except for a couple of shots against the Lakers.

" A soft ass bitch" like you say is the definition of exactly what you want silver to do lol

Imagine wanting to suspend a player because he has emotions and wants to win!

I'm sure a lot of fans would be happier watching robots play in the NBA where there is no fights/drama/towels being thrown into the Court lol

Talk about boring and sensitive feelings smh
Let the players react to pressure/stress and watch the game omg
Bronny will become Murray 2.0

NBA: suspend Amare for taking 4 steps onto the court

NBA: suspend Diaw for taking 1 step onto the court

NBA: don’t suspend Murray for throwing stuff onto the court, with the potential to hurt players / refs

technically he got a second chance already. he threw things onto the court on two different occasions within the same game. Doing it multiple times should warrant a 1 game suspension in my opinion.

Hand out banana peels before the game?

I think you can throw two things on the court before you risk being kicked out.

Wouldn’t game 4 be a second chance?

He made the money sign to the ref. “Heat of the moment, that’s not who he is.”

He went to the bench, then he threw a towel. “Still heat of the moment, I guess.”

Then he threw the heat pack on the floor. “Um, sticking with heat of the moment - he’s a good guy”

Then later at least he explained himself in post game interviews. Oh wait, he broke CBA rules and refused interviews. “Umm”

Well, at least today he’s apologized. “Ummmmmmm”

I believe the refs have correctly interpreted those collective moments as "1" moment.

between this and embid people gonna get hurt if the NBA doesn't hold people accountable for their bull. Wasnt expecting a suspension but the same amount that someone who didn't do half the **** he did is unsatisfactory

It's less than 1/4 of a game check for Jamal Murray. He made $412,893 for every NBA regular season game.

The $100k fine is the equivalent of a Real GM poster who makes $100k being fined $295... or about the same as the worst ticket available deep in the upper deck behind the basket at Target Center on Friday for Game 3. Seriously, the cheapest ticket is $241.

I know $100k is the max according to the CBA... but it's such a joke. It's a lot of money for everyday people... it's simply not enough to be much of a deterrent or lesson for NBA players.

I legitimately don't understand this. I get Murray doesn't have some sort of history, but how on earth can you allow players to throw stuff on the court during a live ball with no punishment other than a fine that is like 0.3% of his salary.

Even as spineless as Silver is, and he's by far without question the most spineless Commissioner I've ever seen in pro sports, this takes spinelessness to a whole other level.

Agreed and percentage of income doesn't even come close to capturing how small of a penalty this is since spending shouldn't increase linerally.

The NBA basically said physically abusing refs is kosher.
