Mannix: Blazers/Billups may be headed for split, Billups candidate for other jobs

If the Blazers and Billups do decide to split up, would Billups be a candidate for the Lakers? Billups is great with the media and I believe has a close relationship with LeBron since they both played together at the same time vs a guy like Ham who was from a generation before.

Ham is a different generation then Billups?

Ham is 50, Billups is 47, and they played together on a title team in 04.

Fwiw, I’m very much hoping the Blazers and Billups split. Also as not a Laker fan, I hope they hire Billups.

I love chauncey (hence the username) and he was one of the most intelligent players ever who's impact far exceeded his raw stats, but I think he's struggled as a coach and could use some more time spent as an assistant.

Beats me why he is a candidate for other jobs though given his win-loss record at Portland is mediocre (at best)
