The Donte DiVincenzo Thread

Post#1 » by LaLover11 » Thu May 9, 2024 3:03 am

He's averaging 13.9ppg, 3.3 reb, 2.4ast in the Playoffs

Just scored 28pts with 50% fg

Previous 2 games scored 25pts & 23pts

He's been amazing for the Knicks!

How great can he be next season?

Real question, do you think there should be a thread on the general board for every player averaging 14, 3 and 2?

He's a great player that is affecting winning in the playoffs. In my opinion he's not just any player

He's playing great and I think deserves his flowers

I mean there isn't too much more to say about Dante, other than he's probably an under rated defender.

OP is low key taking a shot at him posting his PO numbers, considering in the regular season his stats were much better

He reminds me a lot of Derrick White this year, and am not surprised to see they have identical statistics.

I think both White and Dante are in the perfect position to maximize their talents, and think this is the apex for both guys in their careers. Dante is never going to be that reliable 20 ppg scorer, but as a 4th option, he's been fantastic, and can be an okay 3rd at times.

What's really impressed me though is his defense. His IQ, athleticism, and energy has stood out more than anything this playoffs.

I expect him to take a slight hit in stats next year, but idk what more you can ask of the guy. 2x National Champ, 1x NBA Champ, and helped put NY basketball back on the map. Not much left to do after that

They could not match anything close to the Knicks offer, he was on the tax payer MLE so were limited on the raise they could give him

I've also been impressed and watched him in his Warriors yrs when playing vs the Lakers.

I'm not taking a shot at him lol I posted his 20+ point games and giving him is props!

He literally is stepping up to the pressure and winning games for the Knicks... Which is clutch

Can't believe he signed a $11 million a year contract

GSW was above the second tier. They could not give him the tax MLE.

my question is:

in the other thread u said that Philly was a crappy team

the same team that when embiid was playing, had the highest win% and point differential in the league.

can u expand on your reasoning that Philly is a crappy team?

From what I saw in his one year at GSW, he was probably a legit starting guard who probably should be playing around 25-30 regardless of starting or not.

Major injury to Embiid, he should've never been on the court. Tobias should be out of the league

The Warriors didn't sign him with the intention of keeping him long term anyway. I think Donte said not so long ago, that Curry (maybe?) called him during recruiting, saying if he signs with them, they will make him get a nice contract. Exactly what has happened.
