Is this any different from NBA teams sending gift bags to the media to endorse voting for their players to be All Stars?

I would expect all player agents to be advocating for their players too.

Also Ric Bucher is a bum. He said in the Lockout that there was going to be non-guaranteed players contracts, and the minimum contracts would be reduced heavily.

I'd be shocked if agents didn't send out material making the case for their clients. In election years, every active, registered voter gets a ton of material in the mail from parties and candidates making their case.

Most teams themselves do this.

OP thinking this is noteworthy is puzzling. Numerous media folks have put out tweets showing small gifts and goodies they received from teams to promote their player for some award. Like this below.

He slid into my DMs in the lock out and told me I don’t know **** when I called out his “inside sources” during the lockout. Turns out his inside sources were wrong, contracts are still guaranteed.

No receipts as I deleted that account and it was on an old phone, but I stand by him being a bum.

maybe he was shocked at the audacity for klutch to even think it, since ad was at least as important to to winning and when you have TWO players in that situation they cancel each other out in the voting

Definately considering the things like that affect a players worth and the more worth, the more an agent makes. To me though, its not a good look for Lebron. His agent asking for mvp votes for him where theres no way possible for him to be in contention for the award. Seems like the agent looking to stroke Lebrons ego rather than help him win an award.
Side note, isnt AD a klutch guy too? Bucher only has 1 vote, why not lobby for Davis?
