Who blows it up?

Post#1 » by GQ Hot Dog » Thu May 9, 2024 5:48 am

These seven teams all had title aspirations going into the season and all either washed out in the first round or the play-in. Which decide the going is too tough and sell off their star players(probably to other teams in the poll)?

I don't think any team really does a full blow It up scenerio, more like reloading, few tweaks here and there. But If I were to say any team, probably Bucks/Clippers, but again Giannis stays IMO, and Clippers stars Harden/KL have stated they want to stay, PG wants the max, so can see some reloading and tweaks, but as full rebuild doubt It.

Unfortunately i think my dubs will stay put, i expect two more years of mediocrity. We're going nowhere with the old core and kerr's latest antics.

from that list i voted Miami.

No one will blow it up out of that list IMO.

  • Bucks may as well give at least another year with some role player changes, hope for improved health and that a preseason together with Dame and Giannis will help.
  • Clippers may not offer PG or Harden the max and may lose them, but would prefer to keep them. So it may end up being partially blown up, but not proactively. They still have Kawhi too and I don't see them trading him.
  • Heat with Butler are a bit like Clippers with PG and Harden, may not offer him what he wants but if he wants to go, they will likely retool around Bam rather than blow it up.
  • Lakers with only consider it if LeBron leaves in free agency after declining his option which I doubt will happen, I imagine he'll re-sign and they'll go for it again.
  • 76ers are all in on adding another star to Embiid and Maxey.
  • Suns should definitely blow it up but Ishbia seems intent on doubling down, either to save face or because he really believes it will work.
  • Warriors will never blow it up unless Curry asks out.

Most likely a team in the East. Celtics are too far ahead so the next 2-3 years are theirs regardless. The West looks like a toss up so teams there will stay put hoping they can break through the chaos one day

The Heat got the most votes in the poll even though Pat Riley publicly said a few days ago that the team wouldn't blow up lol

From that list, I think no team will blow it up.

Maybe retool around the main players, but as for the stars getting traded, I don't see it for now.

Now if they should blow it up, that's another story...
