Luka has been AWFUL these Playoffs!

I've watched every single game of Mavericks & Luka has been AWFUL these Playoffs!

Mavs got past Clippers thanks to Kyrie & now tied against OKC thanks to PJ Washington.

His stats these Playoffs: 40% FG, 26.5% 3PT

Not to mention he is a big LIABILITY on Defense.

Everyone needs help of teammates to consistently win, the Mavs defense give them more leeway in offensive performance too, so that's always nice to have.

Definitely not the Luka we’re used to seeing, Mavs are more fun to watch when he’s on the bench and the team helmed by Kyrie can play faster lol

Yes, but these Playoffs Luka hasn't been the same he used to be in the past Playoffs (2020, 2021 & 2022).

He used to shoot almost 50% from the field & almost 40% from 3PT line. But these playoffs he is shooting 40% from the field & 26% from the 3.

I've never seen him being this terrible as he is in these playoffs. He has been really really bad this year.

Yep. Remember him in 2020, 2021 & 2022 Playoffs?

He isn't the same player atm.

Yeah he looks way worse than he does 99% of the time. Gee I wonder why?

Go look at some past highlights from the season. It looks like he's moving in fast forward compared to now. The guy can barely move, and he was already slow. Of course its going to affect the rest of his game.

Really? He's playing on a busted knee.

If he wasn't, it would be a wrap for the West. Its still likely a wrap considering they are up 2-1 on OKC and he isn't even playing to his standards. Nuggets are cooked and the Wolves aren't beating them with KAT and Gobert on the roster.

He is shooting really bad, but he founds ways to be useful/have impact. I don't agree that his defense is bad though. It's definitely not. He gets beaten clean 2-3 times per game, yes, but he plays with way more effort than ever before, and that shows. He had some really good, and even two great defensive games this playoffs.

I had Dallas going all the way to the WCF and making a serious threat at the Finals. At this rate i could see them outright winning it all.

I had them winning it all before the playoffs.

But Luka is not really fully healthy. I think that may change my opinion. If he was healthy I would feel more confident in them winning it all.

I mean, he was 30/9/10 against NOP, you can not be hitting your shots that well and not be 'awful.'

Luka is very injured this playoffs and commanding plenty of double teams and his jumper isn't falling. BUT because of his incredible vision and passing and decision making and his size, he's still been good. He's also playing great defense. He's getting the most out of role players and playing confidently and hitting shots when needed, and in a Westbrook way, applying constant pressure to the defense. No matter what, they'll keep guarding him like it's healthy Luka, so that still has an effect. And then Kyrie has been great all playoffs. I don't like the passivity, but his low usage rate lets the rest of the Mavs role players get involved and stay engaged on offense through Luka ball, and then Kyrie just comes in to finish it off or bring them back in if it's an emergency kind of thing. They both take great care of the ball and can make any shot and have been playing defense with their already strong team defense, so that's why they're doing so well despite Luka maybe being 85%.
