Another year another unique champion
The 2020s have been on of the most unique eras of basketball in almost 50 years.
If Boston doesn’t win it all this year they will never get it let down

Yes. I love parity in NBA. Much better than having one team just dominate every single year, let someone else get a chance.

As a fan of a team who's horse is never in the race, i like the changeup from year to year.

All the remaining teams have young players where a championship would be huge.

Defending Champs haven't gotten to Confrence Finals in 6 Consecutive Seasons
I got to say the NBA has gotten so much better since the Warriors/Lebron Superteam era. This feels like a breath of fresh air and I hope the parity we're seeing now is here to stay.

It's a big call but ok, might want to put some $$$ on it as the odds will be long.

Re: Another year another unique champion
I don’t even want to acknowledge the last part that if Boston doesn’t get it done this year “they will never” convo. That’s ridiculous, it’s only their 2nd time with 2 stars who literally arguably haven’t even entered their primes either or just about entering. Assuming health, no reason they can’t have multiple cracks at it and eventually win one (or more).
BUT what is interesting is one of these young stars will begin the discussion of their “legacy”. Now that’s interesting!
One of these guys get their “first” championship and start forging their name into NBA history and it begins the discussion of how their careers will compare to the guys on the way out…although I think Vic will put his gigantic name in the discussion in the very not too distant future as well.

Unless it’s Jaylen Brown or Derrick White. Tatum is by no means a guarantee to win finals MVP if the Celtics win it

Re: Defending Champs haven't gotten to Confrence Finals in 6 Consecutive Seasons
The league goes through phases.
After Bill Russell retired in 1969, no team repeated for 19 years, until the Showtime Lakers repeated in 1988.
And then there was a period from then until 2002 where only one team DIDN'T repeat(the 99 Spurs). Showtime repeated, Bad Boys repeated, Bulls three-peated, Rockets repeated, Bulls three-peated again, Shaq/Kobe Lakers three-peated.
From 2003 onward, only three teams have repeated - Kobe/Gasol Lakers, Heatles, and Warriors.

There is a large underrated variance factor in some of the styles chosen by teams.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.
