wow there. dont compare joe smith to kandi man and kwame. Sure the 95 draft had way better players like stackhouse, sheed, and garnett...but joe smiths rookie campaign and sophomore campaign werent bad at all...he did pretty damn good stats wise for a rookie. he just never panned out to be a sheed or kg. joe smith is talented.
And the thing is he actually probably could have been more. He was even off to a great third season until he ended up in Philly and on the bench. Then he signed in Minnesota where he was obviously overshadowed by KG. After that he probably fell into a role of role player. The guy is getting up there in age, but this year in Chicago there have been times when his old ass has carried the team. Someone on the Bulls board made a post making a point along these lines and saying its about opportunity. You kind of get the feeling he didn't have the opportunity at times and fell into a journeyman role.
