-Jermaine O'Neal instantly comes to mind
-Vince Carter (although all-star voting says otherwise...ugh) is #1 if he's considered "franchise" level
-Whoever the franchise player is for the Bulls (I'd say Wallace was billed that way last year)
-Gilbert Arenas can actually be considered when he's suffering from Antoine Walker/Jason Williams syndrome (chucking bad threes with 18 seconds on the shot clock)
-"Starbury" (again, I don't think anyone in their right mind thinks he's a franchise-level player)
-Tracy McGrady deserves mention (popularity says otherwise, like VC)

I don't think he's the worst franchise player, but T-Mac should be mentioned here. He's a great player, but playoff success eludes him.

Count me as a Blazer fan who is seriously disappointed in Randolph's supposed franchise-level play this year. If he keeps it up we'll probably have to trade him :x

The hate for Joe Johnson is ridiculous.

We are nothing without him which is why he has to log so many minutes per game.

He is still overrated as a "franchise player" which is what the thread is asking for. When you think of franchise players you think Wade, LBJ, Nash, Duncan etc. JJ is paid in that category but has not played like it.

You are just mad we picked him over Bynum.

Al Jefferson is a 20/12 player that would have 4 ast if his teammates could finish. After almost every game we play someone from the other team's board will talk about how Al is a beast and he just needs better teammates. (I usually get pm's on it)

The lakers would give their left nut to have Al jefferson on their team right now.
