You'd really give up a 1st for him?

I don't think he is worth a first given that he is UFA. I personally think he needs a hard ass of a coach that demands things from him. He has been living off his talent his entire career in the NBA and has not made the steps to become a least a rotation player.

yea. look our guards, rafer alston, luther head, bonzi wells, shane battier. We need some atheletism. bonzi might be gone after this season. Houston is his hometown too. i think rockets have a good chance resign him after this season.

Green for O'Bryant, makes too much sense not to happen. Which means McHale will make it not happen.

mike james and a first better, we lose a first but get rid of mike james wich is better. green can play 1 game every 15.

I don't know man, he also has a very low IQ and very inconsistent, and frankly that's the last thing we need right now. The most I'd give is Snyder and a second or something involving James but that seems unlikely.

oh yeah like Minnesota is going to take James (and his contract) back
like someone said if he can't find playing time Minnesota where can he?
he's not giong to find a spot in Houston playing behind T-Mac, Battier, Wells, and Head

Like I said in the Celtics thread, this is a request, not a demand. Stop being so hard on him.

As for him being inconsistent, he's played the same sort of game in all three of the games he played 25 minutes or more. Give this dude consistent minutes and he WILL score for you and grab a few rebounds. He's a dumb player and he's never going to be a star, but he's still a good 6th man role and seems to be a lot like JR Smith.

He can't be consistent because he isn't getting consistent playing time.

he should retire then.

u guys saw how many layups we missed? i am just tired of it. Get green and dunk it all. He is a good player, but he needs to work on his consistency. Houston should be the right place for him.

No way should we give up a 1st for Green. I'd do Kirk Snyder and a 2nd, but it'd probably be stupid to deal for Green because he'll most likely leave in the offseason.

Like it has been said, this deal make too much sense that it will never happen. But I wish it would

No way MN takes Mike James. We dealt him away for Howard whom we bought out.

Plus there is no way this works in trade checker. Mike's contract is big and nasty. Enjoy it.

Snyder and a 1st would be good for both teams. Houston gets a chance to look at Green, a hometown kid who would likely want to come home. He learns behind his idol in T-Mac. Houston gets rid of a guy that is hardly playing and a draft pick that would likely have some kind of protection (lotto 2008, top-10 2009, no protection for 2010)

lmao Green is a scrub you could find better prospects in the D-League probably. no way houston gives up a 1st, we'll give you a 2nd and Snyder and that's it. Houston got Brooks/Head with mid 20s draft picks and they are all betterr than Green.

Darrick Martin for Gerald Green... I hear Minnesota needs veteran leadership.

PHX, GS and any other fast break oriented team that doesn't care about defense unless they need to clamp down at the absolute lat possible moment would be a great fit for Gerald to get his confidence up.

I could see him playing for GS, but we have too many players already. The team needs a point gaurd....i like his size though; a 6'8 sg.
