Ron Artest - Still Crazy

Post#1 » by LjJazzman » Sun Jan 27, 2008 3:50 am

Last night vs the Jazz Artest acted like an absolute mad man. It was absolutely hilarious to watch. The video doesn't do his craziness justice, but it does show a few of his antics.

Such as taunting a 6 year old in the first row, beating his chest over everything. Falling to the ground trying to flop, but didnt realize it was his own player who bumped him. Yelling no layups over and over again after kings fouled the jazz.

It was like watch Denis Rodman play the jazz 14 years ago again. I was in heaven.

"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Ron was being heckled like crazy last night. I can't really blame the guy. Try going through what he's going through with his daughter, and then having to deal with classless heckling. Most players reactions would be to have a very subdued attitude about it. Ron's reaction was to overcompensate.

I'm not talking about booing, I'm talking about inappropriate heckling, such as being called "wife beater" despite the fact that he really never actually beat his wife from what all reports indicate, and people yelling at him to feed his dogs, despite the fact that that report turned out to be nothing.

Those are just things I heard from one of the Jazz fans that was at the game. And well, I'm not saying anything else did or didn't happen, but considering what happened with the Derrick Fisher situation in Utah, I wouldn't be surprised if there was heckling involving his daughter, frankly.

No offense but Artest would take Harpring out in one punch, his father was a Golden Gloves boxer and taught RonRon how to box at a very young age.

they gave artest a tech at the 2 minute mark (in the video) for that?

and then they threw him out of the game for that?

c'mon nba...you're better than that. [/mark jackson]

seems like harpring was playing just as dirty/crazy/tough as artest. i'd love to see a couple UFC rounds between those two.

A professional athlete getting heckled?!?!?!?!

The hell you say!

Don't these guys get paid millions to deal with heckling?
