The Celtics of game 1-6 played nothing like the Celtics today. The Celtics today are playing like the team we saw this whole season. There's no reason they don't get back on track after this series.Iggyemu wrote:Lucky for the Celts they don't have to win a road game at all to win the NBA title. But dam if LeBron goes in there and steals one....Celtics will probably lose the series if that happens.

Yeah but those aren't realistic. KG is in a position to win multiple titles. He also can continue playing the way he is right now because KG isn't as dependent on his athleticism and speed anymore.Buckeye-NBAFan wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
You could say that about anyone. Shaq could have 3 more rings 3 years from now. Dirk could win 3 Finals MVPs and pass KG.

uhm,
the Celtics won all 3 games at home in blowouts. They just struggled on the road. Games 1, 2 and 5 they were the old celtics.
Embiid wanted to win so badly, he deliberately injured Mitchell Robinson.
Classy.
Classy.

No they aren't, the Hawks just didn't come to play. The Celtics only shot 42% in the first half and are on pace to score about 100 which has been about their playoff average. The Hawks are just the worst road team in the NBA, and flat out can't compete in Boston.

What, why are you still complaining? You just beat the mighty Hawks in 7 games. Shouldn't you be out in the streets thumping your chest and screaming with KG?

I agree that as of right now he's not. Which is I said that if KG wins a few rings, and continues his level of play, that he could be #2. Those are very realistic standards.
Maybe. I don't think Malone should be looked down upon for not winning a championship. He was unfortunate enough to play against MJ for all those years. The NBA was extremely tough during that era.
Granted, he played with Stockton who is probably the third best PG in NBA history. I think it was easiest to see how good he was once he joined the Lakers. Once he got injured they collapsed and played terrible. Malone wasn't a long player and didn't block shots, but he was an underrated defender. He's easily the best PF offensively of all time.
Also, Garnett tends to disappear in big games during the 4th quarter. If he can have some big games at crucial times and the Celtics win a couple rings, then maybe. Until then, I think he remains number 3.

You see it as the Hawks not playing well. I see it as the Celtics playing suffocating Defense. You could have similar perspectives on Games 3,4, and 6.NDaATL wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
