+1 thank you eatyourchildren I could careless who won the series I just wanted it to go seven games. Before the LA - Utah series I was indifferent between Utah and Houston, now I just hate Utah; because of there fans.

Game of the season for the Jazz. Win this one, and they're right back in it. Lose, and the season is pretty much over.

Lakers have to keep pushing and come out firing and hopefully win game 3.

it doesnt matter, no one on the jazz can guard kobe. i would like to end the series in utah. lets just finish them off, and celebrate on their own homecourt, and truly expose the classless fans that they are.

Enough. Anyone who keeps taking personal jabs at posters or fan bases will receive warnings and/or suspensions. Keep it about basketball.

Thanks, tkb. These threads turn to total junk sometimes.

On the basketball side of things, the key for Utah is showing up in the first half. They got back into things in the second half in both Games 1 and 2, but by that point, the Lakers were far enough ahead that it was difficult for us to overtake them.

I still think we can win if Boozer continues being the worthless garbage he was in LA, but it's going to take very strong efforts from Deron and Memo, and our bench has to give us something substantial again, like Millsap did in Game 2.

It's funny... Boozer ($11.6 mil/year), Harpring ($6 mil/year), Korver ($4.4 mil/year), and Millsap ($687,000/year) played terribly in Game 1...

Who brought it in Game 2? The two players making the least amongst that quartet. Millsap, the only player making less than one million dollars, was also the only one who brought the necessary intensity from whistle to buzzer.

The calls will likely [read: hopefully] go in our direction at home, just as they went in the Lakers' direction in LA. As long as the officiating is consistent to that end in Games 3 and 4, I'll have no ref-bashing to do regarding Games 1 and 2.

Ohhhhh, Jazz... do me right, boys...

I don't think there is any doubt Boozer is the key here. If he plays well, Jazz are tough to beat.

How the game is officiated is also something to look out for. I'm not talking about the Jazz needing a lot of questionable calls go their way or anything like that. What is important is which line the refs go by. If they call a tight game, that's to LA's advantage because we're more of a finesse team than the Jazz. If the refs don't call a tight game, but let players be physical, that's to Utah's advantage.

The refs have been favoring the more aggressive team. We'll see if that trend continues.

A pretty reasonable assessment.

I think we can fill the Boozer void if he's garbage again, but our margin of error is much slimmer than if he plays decent.

Jazz will get refreshed and more energized at home, and win by 5-6 pts...

Boozer gets 20 and 10 or more...

The majority is classy, I hope that doesn't change during the game. Really no need for insults directed at either of the teams, their players or fans.

The Jazz have a very good team, like it's been said numerous times and I doubt they'll bring anything less than their A game tonight. I hope the Lakers do the same and we should be in for a great game.

Nashty! Wow. Forgot about that guy.

I remember getting into an argument with him about whether or not Steve Nash was a better player than John Stockton. He said it was "an honor for Stockton to even be mentioned in the same breath as Nash." That about says all you need to know about him.

Where'd he go?

I'll say LA by eight tonight, and Kobe goes for 38-42 points.

if Jazz win this game, I can see it go to 6. If Lakers win, it'll be a sweep.

I'd be shocked if we won this game by less than 20 points. This is going to be a Jazz blowout. Very similar to game 3 last year against the Spurs. I'd bet the morgage we win tonight by a wide margin. Game 4 will be the tough one for us.

If we can somehow get this series back to a 2-2 tie, anything can happen in game 5. Honestly I think we'll win tonight and LA will take game 4 and 5 to win the series 4-1.

I hope no one throws beer or any liquid like the last Laker gamer at Utah.
