Cassell also needs to shut up. He's deluding himself if he thinks he can be anything more than a role player.

Get a clue Cassell! The reason why you didn't play those last few games against Cleveland was because you sucked it up, not because the coach was resting you for the Pistons. And the reason why you're not getting playing time against the Pistons is because you haven't stopped sucking!

If only the Celtics had brought back Glen Robinson instead of PJ Brown. Then the over the hill former Bucks trio could collectively suck together.

I really love how nice McDyess finally bounced back from his injuries .
Nobody really wanted bad knees McDyess before he joined the Pistons and as the time went on he's finally looking good again. Certainly not compareable to pre-injury but still great bounce back.

I agree cassell is a killing their offense (or w/e rivers is running) plus rivers is killing rondo's confidence everytime he takes him out for long periods of time and puts in sam i am. Just live and die with rondo, i hate what hes doing, he's helped to get you this far, just ride it out, you'll help his confidence and that'll help the team.

KG showed up tonight

Pierce was aggressive, couldnt hit a shot, but got to the line

allen just sucks

This game felt like game 1 of the series with the teams and homecourt reversed. Now Manocad you know how large a defecit those 9 points feel like. Celts weren't close tonight to geting in the drivers seat at any point in the game.

I have a question though, is there a worst starting SG taken into consideration offense and defense then Ray Allen? I wonder. If someone would make a sig that would have Ray Allen with a brick in one hand and a red carpet in the other I'd say that's an accurate representation of his game. Hell I'd use it as my sig.

Boston's biggest problem is that they only have one legit point-guard on their roster. House can't handle the ball and Cassell is a scrub. And Rondo isn't aggressive enough. Detroit has been doubling off of him and he hasn't really tried to take advantage of it.

Even though the games haven't been that close, overall the Pistons and Celtics have just gone neck and neck in this series. The point differential through 4 games is pistons +2. Which makes me believe a seventh game is likely

If Cassel is frustrated about his lack of playing time all he needs to do is look at his game film and find out why he isn't playing.

I know exactly what a nine-point deficit is. Some other people don't when they consider it "domination" when their team wins by nine points but "hanging around" when their team is losing/loses by nine points.

Quite frankly I don't think it's either. It's not all that close and it sure as hell isn't domination either.

I agree with the logical folks here that neither team appears to have a defined edge over the other.

When Manu starts at SG, he's definitely the worst starting SG left in the playoffs, but despite his recent suckiness, Ray Allen has been pretty decent this year.

I'd be a little worried though if I'm a Celtics fan. At the beginning of the season, most people probably figured the Celtics would have a 3 year window at least to win the championship. However Ray Allen's decline has put that window into serious question. He may end up being no better than Michael Finley is right now next season. Even if he bounces back, Boston fans need to worry that he'll wear out by the time the playoffs come around.

Win or lose, Danny Ainge has to find another wing player to back up Pierce and Allen so that Allen's minutes can be limited next year to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

IMO there's a big difference b/w being down a few points and taking a lead in a series where not a lot of points are going to be put up.

Crucial game 5.......it's on now!

How awesome was Maxiells block! WOW!

As a Celtics fan I am entirely serious when I make this offer (and would make the change mid-series if I were Danny Ainge), but PLEASE please come coach our team! You clearly have a better handle on the roster than Doc does at this point :nonono:

I think Ray played the most minutes of the big 3 this year IIRC. That might be part of the issue here.

No, when Manu comes off the bench the spurs have the worst SG. When Manu starts the spurs have the second best shooting guard.

Well...it goes without saying that I feel better after 4 game than I did after game 3...but make no mistake, the Pistons are still behind the 8-ball. It's now a 3 game series with 2 of those in Boston.

I think the Pistons best chance is to steal game 5 and close this out in 6. I really don't want to see a game 7 in Boston. Then again, coming off back to back 7 game series it'll be interesting to see if that doesn't take it's toll as the series progresses. I'd actually like to see Detroit push the ball more early on and see if Bostons legs don't start to look a lil tired in the 4th quarter.

The Pistons deserved to win this game though. The only reason why it was not over by the start of the fourth was due to the refs.

I'm glad I'm not the only who noticed this. The Pistons won this game by 19 in the end, but the truth is this game looked so dominant it makes me think about crooked refs and it makes me wonder the point spread. They tried very hard to make this a close game, but it really wasn't looking like it should've been at all.

wow this game ended with a 19 point defecit. For some reason I thought it was 10. Looked at ESPN and was like wtf? Man it was 5 points with 3 minutes left that's pretty bad even with DET controlling the game all night long.

Meh, back to boston and back to a celtics 3-2 lead
