LOL "for us haters"..Kobe "can't win without Shaq" is a FACT right now..he hasn't won without him, and he's choked as a #1 option in the finals twice..one of them was arguably the worst series for a star player in NBA history..

Shaq might not have been big in the finals, but he averaged 18 and 10 on 61% shooting for those entire playoffs..Shaq was still feared..he was the #2 option, just like Kobe..he just played poorly in the finals, something Kobe can relate to, since he usually plays poorly in the finals..

I feel bad for Kobe fans..honestly, I do..they get so defensive, because they have to try very hard to defend this guy..it's not easy to defend someone with so many off-court problems and a guy with the inability to lead his team to a title, even though he gets the hype of a top 5 all-time player..what's the excuse gonna be when Kobe can't win with Gasol, Bynum and Odom?..I do respect the effort though, Kobe fans..

I cannot believe this is headline news... It's so stupid!!!

This whole Kobe-Shaq thing is ridiculously overblown.

unless it's in the finals..then he'd probably drop about 17 on 30% shooting..

they're just old..their best player was too tired from winning 4 titles as a #1 option..takes a lot of energy, as Shaq would know as well..

Too much either-or here, folks.

Shaq was immature, but it was funny.

It was very wrong for Shaq to cheat on his wife (if he really did that), but it was wrong for Kobe to get in Shaq's business and ruin his marriage.

This is Shaq. As a Laker fan, If you loved him as Laker, you have to put up with this crap now because he's always been obnoxious...it's just entertaining to me now because I'm a Laker hater.

You can't just limit it to the Lakers. Shaq has done this before.

When he left Orlando to go to the Lakers he dissed Orlando
When he left the Lakers and went to the Heat he dissed the Lakers(and clearly still stuck on them)
When he left the Heat to the Suns he dissed the Heat as well.

Don't you find it odd that none of these organizations miss him all that much after he's gone? I mean he's not the "problem" after all.

Kobe is no saint but I find it damn ironic for being such a problematic teammate etc he's still with the same team for over a decade(unheard of in this day and age) while Shaq has been on 4 teams but its everyone else's fault but his?

That being said if Shaq's marriage is ruined well he needs to look in the mirror not go back 5 years and blame Kobe or anyone else for that matter.

Kobe had no reason to rat out his teammate to the cops and throw Shaq under the bus just b/c Kobe got caught, imo thats as low as it gets scum. So if Shaq wants to be mad about it he has every right to... it's not like he's making anything up.

I'm sorry to butt in here but you ARE defending Shaq cheating on his wife. Your argument lies in the fact that Kobe put himself in the situation where he somehow deserves to be criticized and hated by Shaq.

If you seriously believe that, you either have a double standard or you do not believe in the phrase "You reap what you sow." Correct me if I'm wrong but Shaq put himself in a situation where he could be "snitched". Yet you still believe Shaq has a right to fault Kobe for his troubles when the blame lies with him.... Yet you have no trouble placing all the blame on Kobe.

At the end of the day....

Kobe cheated on his wife
Shaq cheated on his wife
Kobe "snitched"
Shaq keeps on acting like a baby
Kobe is human and does stupid things
Shaq is human and does stupid things

Its so amusing how you portray Kobe as some evil entity that you must protect from your kids.... Word of advice... There are more threatening things out there that might harm your future children than Kobe Bryant...

This is not something two basketball players should say to each other. If it were two rappers just starting a beef, that's fine. But to modify a quote from Proverb, Shaq, you ain't a rapper.

Admittedly, I didn't like either Kobe or Shaq from their Laker days. Both of them--especially Kobe--seemed incredibly immature.

But Kobe seems to have matured, aside from that "Ship his ass out tirade" last year. Shaq is still a little kid who thinks he can rap. He was one of my favorite players back in 1995, and I've gradually lost respect for him to the point where I don't think I can think much less of him. Yet he still continues to prove me wrong.
