Kevin McHale is an idiot. Minnesota deserves to be a cellar team for a while. You passed up on a potential All-star for a back-up stiff. You deserve anything that happens to you. What an idiot. I'm appalled.

Love/Miller/Jefferson isn't bad though.

Can't believe they broke up the potential Gay Love combination.

I kind of like this for the Wolves actually. I was never fond of OJ.

Now Memphis is putting together a solid team. The Gasol trade leaves everyone speechless though.

PG Conley Jr.
SG Mayo
SF Gay
PF Warrick
C Darko

Now go get a PF/C

They have Kwame. Duhhh!

No kidding. I don't like the trade - I was really psyched about Mayo coming to Minneapolis and watching him in the Summer League.

Just as bad as the time Houston ended their Gay Head combo.

Memphis has some decent prospects and some good young players now. I didn't like Kevin Love in the first place.

I think McHale pulled off a great trade. Jefferson is officially a Center for life now. Getting Mike Miller is a great move especially since I think OJ Mayo will be the next tweener guard to play just well enough to be dead weight on the salary cap.

I'm past the point in thinking McHale is a bad GM, and starting to think that he has mental deficiencies.

He drafted Mayo (which was the correct move). This means pairing up a young stud perimeter threat in OJ Mayo with a young stud interior threat in Al Jefferson.

That's a rarity in this league -- having two players with chances to be dominant on one team, that have very different, but complementary games and skillsets.

So what does McHale do? He trades Mayo and fillers for Love, Mike Miller and fillers.

Let's not act like Minnesota is going to compete anytime soon. They need to keep rebuilding, drafting and managing the cap.

They do NOT need to get marginal talent like Mike Miller. Yes, he's a decent player who will improve their team, but he isn't going to improve them so much as to make them a contender, a playoff team, or even a fringe playoff team. By the time they will be, Miller will be too old.

This just puzzles me.

So, Memphis has lots of guards still.. Conley, Lowry, Crittenton, Navarro, and now Mayo.

I think Love has impacted a basketball game more than Mayo at every level so far and will continue to. Add Ricky Rubio to either of these teams next year and they are going to look pretty good.

So Lowry is included in this trade? That makes it better for Minn (but not by much). I think Lowry will really turn heads in Minn, he will be a good player.

The line of Conley/Mayo/Gay will be very interesting to watch.
