What makes the trade even more crazier is Mike Miller's contract expires in 2 years and there is no way he is going to want to stay with the team. And if they are horrible he will certainly get traded the following year.

Kevin Love is the same guy who struggled against Joey Dorsey. What the hell is he going to do against the front line players in the Western conference?

This is the most absurd trade ever.

OJ May will be lumped in withthe likes of Jamal Crawford, Jalen Rose, and Larry Hughes in a few years. He will have a 14 year career as a journeyman starter.

He drafted Mayo (which was the correct move). This means pairing up a young stud perimeter threat in OJ Mayo with a young stud interior threat in Al Jefferson.

That's a rarity in this league -- having two players with chances to be dominant on one team, that have very different, but complementary games and skillsets.

So what does McHale do? He trades Mayo and fillers for Love, Mike Miller and fillers.

Bingo.

The real idiot is Taylor for keeping McHale around.

Tell me his weakness?

Mayo didn't exactly dominate the tournament...

I can see why Memphis would do this. They turned Greene to Arthur and they're also bringing Gasol so they have some depth inside (their frontcourt is very young though). Their depth chart right now looks like this:

Conley/ Lowry
Mayo/ Crittenton/ Buckner
Gay/ Jaric
Warrick/ Arthur/ Walker
Milicic/ Gasol

Not too bad.. and they still have some money to overpay a free agent :D

Am I the only one finding the Gay Love jokes to be not funny? Or am I the only one on this board over 13?

ummm... if he played better than maybe he would have played more than 1 game.

I just think its funny when people are using the tournament to trash Love compared to Mayo when Love had a far better tournament than Mayo did.

i think mayo is destined to be a star then .. seeing how everyone kevin mcfail trades away ends up blossoming somewhere else .. eg. brandon roy, ray allen, etc

look at the bright side for mcfail tho.. at least he got mike miller! hahah

You just need to loosen up a little.....

Seriously though, great for Memphis. They'll be able to add lots of young talent to Conley, Mayo and Gay with the next few years of lottory picks.
