Who's going to hold his ground against the really big guys , yes your players are tall but not particularly big.

This team's going to get killed once the game turns into a grind out game and there's not much you can to do prevent a good team from doing that.

can anybody in the league defend dwight howard......other than maybe garnett? and it's not as if wright and randolph can't put on weight....jermaine o'neal, chris bosh, and garnett were all beanpoles when they came into the league, and their careers haven't turned out too bad..... and rasheed's pretty thin, but is one of the best defending power forwards in the league.

Joel, The Vanilla Gorilla, The Thrilla Przybilla shut him down twice. But then again, he's not a rail either.

He already averaged 20ppg in 07-08. He's definitely our future of the franchise.

And btw he's doing all that scoring and he doesn't even have a 3point shot yet. He's one of the BEST mid range shooters in the leage, check the percentages. Even scored 36 points in a game without even needing to attempt a single 3pt or FT. He's smart enough to control himself and have wise shot selection, even though he's on a team that gives the green light to shoot 3s all the time. When he finally extends his range to that 3point line he'll be crazy.

The Warriors are still one major trade away of being a top team. They need badly an inside scorer, preferrably at the PF spot. Unfortunately, i don't see many of those being available (maybe Antawn Jamison, but i am not sure it's the right fit for them). Right now, they have pieces in Davis, Ellis, Jackson, Harrington, Biedrins with good some good bench players behind, they need to convert 2-3 of them (except Davis and Ellis, i would keep them) through a trade to an all-star level player.

Yeah, no busts there really...

Kwame and Olowokandi weren't elite talents defensively...Bowie's before my time but the other two aren't especially defensive studs...Olowokandi was guarding stiffs in Italy and Kwame Brown pimply faced high schoolers...terrible comparison...

There was a time when they seemed future studs to warrant a nr. 1 or 2 pick.
I don't think Oden will end like them, I think he will be a stud, but saying there0's no possibility he busts is pretty shortsighted.

Didn't say that. Only that elite defensive big talents rarely bust. Olowokandi and Kwame weren't that. They were athletic, but nothing suggested they actually knew how to play defense. Oden was either first or second in college on block shots with Stephane Lasme but Lasme is a bit undersized. Foyle---undersized. Okafor---undersized. Then you get someone like Tim Duncan who dominated in college WITH the size to translate to the next level but that person only comes around every so often. There's a reason Oden was hyped as the best big man in years, folks.

For everyone complaining about undersized. Size takes into account height and weight.

KG has trouble guarding Paul Gasol one on one while Perkins can handle him just fine. If that's not a clear example of how mass is very important for big men idk what is.

LOL and the Spurs are super old now and they're time is over. They're time as champions are over (respond with, "at least we won a championship unlike the boring warriors"), oh?? don't worry im just making a prediction like you were making a prediction about the warriors.

that's a legit possibility..but I'm happy with the 4 titles..I'm happy with the deep playoff appearances in virtually every year..but hey, look on the bright side..at least the Warriors have a future of Bellinelli, Randolph and Wright!!! wow, that's like the 2nd coming of Bird, Parrish and McHale..

That's funny cause I'd rather be a Warriors fan with zero titles in my era then a Spurs fan with four, that's how boring they are.

Marco Belinelli, Anthony Randolph, Brandan Wright, Patrick O'Bryant?? HUH? WHO ARE THESE GUYS? I've never heard of these guys before, I youtube'd and googled them and found out that they are incredibly skinny. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that the young players of Golden State SUCK BALLS since i've never heard about them before.

Andris Biedrins? LOL, but he's white. When was the last time a white player was in the top 20 in scoring? lol. The only white guy I can think of is Dirk. Mike Bibby and Jason Kidd don't count because they're both half black.

Monta? LOL, but he plays the shooting guard position right now. And he's skinny, therefore he sucks balls.

You know guys, there's a difference between being furiously angry, and just being bored at 4 in the morning with nothing else to do on the computer. Making fun of people's hate towards a team can be fun you know, doesn't mean that your bored. I saw a lot of cheap shots in this thread and decided to not let them get away with it. LOL oh. Oh my, Supafly had to take everyone on by himself. :(

But seriously Supafly, next time, don't be so quick to make a thread. Remember, not everyone wants to hear about the Warriors that much. Many of them view us as a fluke team, and will use a thread like this as opportunity to take cheap shots at Golden State.

I'm not 'telling' you what to do, i'm just saying that IMO only post a thread like that if you got stats and whatnot. If anything, post a thread like that on the GSW board first, and see what type of responses you get. If the Golden State Warriors fans on that board don't agree with your ideas and thoughts about the team, then there's a good chance that the idea/thought won't be liked in the General Board as well.

what if they're cheap shots actually have validity as reasonable arguments to non-GS fans?

Well just upon entering the league, Oden has 5 inches of standing reach, and 2 inches of vertical on Kwame, plus about 15 pounds..... then you factor in his great hands, and his IQ on both ends, and they aren't close as prospects. Kwame is moronic as a defender, he can guard his man well, but he can't rotate, block shots, or rebound the basketball....

Olowokandi? You can't be serious, he was never even close to the athletic ability of Oden.

Chicago? Gordon, Deng, Hinrich, Rose, Tyrus, Noah, Sefo, Noc. Gooden + Hughes expiring for 2010 FA.

No offense, but if you are counting on winning a championship with Monta Ellis as your best player, you are already off to a rough start on talking about futures.
