Tim duncan same reason as every else - Hes very talented and he doesnt need talk about it, he simply will win to show it. Gotta hate him when he plays against you but its too hard not to respect him. Also ive always had HUGE respect for RONNY TURIAF. open heart surgery and still has the heart to play basketball, the guy brings tons of energy from the bench, id love to have this guy on my team.

Ron Artest and Nate Robinson. Both play with unmatched fire.

Tim Duncan - Obviously cause of his skill and success, but also because he has no issues off the court and is a good role model for kids.

Kobe, Duncan, KG, Nash, Yao

I respect players who love the game and want to win, more than anything else. Those whose love for the game is greater than their ego. It also helps if they are veterans and they are able to maintain their love for the game.

Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Kevin Garnett, the new Paul Pierce, Steve Nash, Rasheed Wallace are some examples.
Thank you Bryan Colangelo.

Shaq for letting Kobe taste his *ss, it takes a lot of guts to let someone taste it.

I think it would take a LOT more guts to taste it, but that's just me.

Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry. Standstill or you will have your share of cheap shots.

This may be a homer pick, but I'm gonna go with Luis Scola. Dude is 27, just played his first season in the NBA, and although he struggled at the beginning, ALL he wants to do is get better. He makes a lot of dumb mistakes at times, but he will do anything to win. I love having him on the Rockets.

Players that go out there and excell at their job and do what they can for the team. So I guess I'm really tough on stars. LeBron lost some respect of mine when he couldn't hit a mid range or 3 pointer for 3 games against BOS. Ray Allen lost respect for blaming others(mostly Rondo) for his horrible play during the first half. Kobe is a jerk so he didn't lose any respect from me because I never thought much of him as a leader anyways.

Basically.. right now just James Posey and Tim Duncan and Manu :oX

I still hate Manu's style though [see avater]

1)KG- He never ever demand a trade from the wolves, with sush a bad team how can you not. Also he passes the ball more then most the people in the league.
2)Lebron- Everyone likes the way he plays and of course you have to respect him.
3)Jordan- How could you not respect him.
4)Bird- He was so good that you have no choice but to respect him.
5)Kobe- He does sometimes blame his teamates but thats understandable because you get mad at times and stuff like that happen and he gets fired up even though his on the bench which reminds me of Kg.

Kobe Bryant becasue of his passion and work ethic on and off the court.I just dont understand why people hate him.My friend keeps telling me that he doesnt like him because he is too cocky because he remembered kobe saying that he can score any time he wants and can get it going when ever he wants in the postgame in the spurs series. But guess what he could say that because not only is it true but he earned the honor to say stuff like that by his work ethic. And come on people every NBA player is cocky as **** but some have the right to act like it

Yeah, he's still pretty unpopular. Rumor has it KB is very unfriendly off the court... and that he's always charming with fans in front of the medias, but once the camera is off, he is unsociable. That's why.
