The Celtic hype honestly is a great set-up for LeBron to earn some serious credentials this year if he upsets them.

He has got to be loving flying under the radar, as much as LeBron James can fly under the radar, while Boston gets talked up left and right, as the greatest this or that.

Possible dynasty? Sure, if they can win it this season and the next. Don't see it happening though.

Dynasty: A family or group that maintains power for several generations

So yes they are a dynasty. The lakers and celtics are the only dynastys in the NBA.

Very good point. Cleveland plays excellent D and matches up well with Boston.

Like last year the Celtic bench has played better than expected, but the playoff-time Celtic bench played better defense than the current bench.

Injuries are always a factor. Any NBA champ, almost by definition, has a good year injury wise and dynasties (Boston, Lakers, and Bulls) are invariably composed of durable players.

I'm pretty sure we can agree that Rockets fans don't equal T-Mac fans anyway.

Celtics were lucky to face a young Lakers team missing their 3rd best player in the finals. Put Bynum in the lineup and take Ray out with a disolocated knee cap and they get destroyed in 5 games by the Lakers. The Celtics have no chance against a healthy core Lakers line up - it's that simple. Boston one and done.

please don't compare Bynum to Ray Allen...

these Celtics fans are delusional..their team finally became relevant again after 15 years of being nothing, and it's gone completely to their heads..these dudes forget that the fans in the CELTICS ARENA were cheering for another player, a LAKER, for the MVP award..that's how low it was in Boston, just 2 seasons ago..

Again, THOSE WERE KOBE FANS. This thread wasn't even created by a Celtics fan (or at least not one that posts regularly).

How come you let Kobe fans in your building. :D Maybe not this year or the year before. Maybe there is a pipe waiting for every Laker fan cheering in the Boston Garden. But definitely not two years ago.

Celtics are good at trash talking and annoying the hell out of the other team, the most unprofessional team in sports history. They have no basketball skills. They are nothing compared to the old school celtic team or Lakers team. They give a bad name to the sport. The only player with skills on that team is Paul Pierce, and even he can't be compared to players like Kobe or Pau.

They give the sport a bad name.

I'm not comparing them, but the fact is they are both their respective team's third best player. While Boston would lose huge offensive drop with Allen out, the Lakers would lose JUST AS MUCH impact on the defensive with Bynum out, which has been proven.

Boston has yet to beat a Lakers team with KGB in the lineup. Boston won a title because they faced an injury depleted team in the finals - plain and simple.

Dynasty? HAHAHaHa

What about them? KGB wasn't together at the time those games took place.

No, you're right. We had to go against KOB, my fault.

I think a KOB will be a 4-0 sweep in favor of the Celtics. Maybe 4-1 because of K.

Odom isn't good enough to get his own acronym. He's a bench player.
