great win.

Down the stretch, it showed how much the Celts miss James Posey in crunch time action. He wouldn't have allowed Kobe break down their defense so bad, giving Gasol so much opportunities.

Lakers def. wanted it more.

The C's didn't play well and the bench was a no show tonight.....makes it extremely hard to win on the road against one of the top teams in the league.

Lakers played not so good and still managed to win.
Good news.

I can't help but think that this was the Lakers championship game. Phil gave his key guys heavy minutes and they actually played good D. A little redemption for the championship.

The officials gave LA a distinct advantage in the first half. They allowed LA to play a physical game without giving that same advantage to Boston.

I think the Celtics players did a good job of not getting a technical when they had every right to contest some of the clearly and sometimes obviously repititious calls and non calls favoring the Lakers.

Regardless though, it was a close game down the stretch and the Lakers won the final two minutes fair and square. I thought given everything Boston did a good job of staying in the game despite getting down by 9 or 10 a few times.

I must say that the Lakers-Celtics game had some of the best flops of the year, Tony Allen's was by far the best though. Paul Pierce must be teaching the young lad all about how to act on the big stage.

On a side note why was Garnett cheap shotting Vujacic all game? Was Sasha in KG's head?

"Hmm we fans are acting too arrogant including me! Hope our players won't treat this game like we do!"

i said this on the cavs board! Well I exactly knew that kind of a start was coming. Karma is punishing our arrogance. LOL!

The Lakers having more size when they go to their backups help. You have either Bynum or Gasol instead of Turiaf who was an undersized PF at C. Odom at the PF position as well is also a better choice than having Turiaf or Vlad there.

The way Gundy was talking, it sounded like Kobe played nearly the whole game. But he played 43 minutes while Allen played 42 minutes, so not much of a difference there. In comparison to the other main guys for both teams, you have Gasol at 36 minutes (KG at 37), Bynum at 36 (Perkins at 34), Fisher at 35 (Rondo at 34), and Odom at 24 (Pierce at 38).

Phil has remarked before that nationally televised games have especially long commericals, so he can afford to play Kobe more minutes but have it amount to the same quantity of rest.

I can't believe Wiz fans said Nick Young was a good player earlier this season. The guy doesn't know how to play team ball. He's just as bad as Deshawn Stevenson.

Mo Williams is ballin'!

Cavs fans are curious if LeBron will touch the ball.

I like LeBron's attitude. He's criticizing the NBA's Xmas schedule by doing nothing on the court. :D

Stop ruining athlete's holidays David Stern!

I just dropped LeBron to 2nd place in the MVP race. I can't imagine a MVP who simply doesn't care about a regular season game. This is beyong embarassing. I hope Cavs lose this one, it's time to take a lesson.
