Not a chance in hell those are right. Deron is absolutly not an all-star. Billups is easily the better player and more deserving this season by a landslide.

Melo played in the past 2 All-Star games. And played significant minutes in each game.

According to some Laker fans, Gasol is not all-star caliber. Of course, this is usually said in LeBron vs. Kobe topics to try to build up Kobe.

Pau has been on similarly bad teams (although Battier is a winner), and did better

PPG is a poor measure in this case

Actually 20.5pts in 33min, on one of the slowest teams.

That can't be accurate. Seriously I think what 2k9 did was put the guys who had the highest ratings on the game in for the allstar teams for the benches. Are you honestly going to tell me that the Suns deserve to have 3 allstars for the allstar game when they are 7th in the conference and that the Lakers only have 1 allstar when they are 5 games ahead of everything in their conference?
Also are you going to tell me that the Cavs only have 1 allstar when they are 1st in the league as far as record and that the Nets who aren't even in the playoff picture deserves to have 2 allstars?

Seriously this selection on NBA 2K9 has to be based on each individual player rating as Billups rating is never as good as Nash's or Deron's on the game.

Also the fact that Melo and Deron have missed significant time makes me believe this was just about player ratings on the game.
