Well if it's even between them, then Parker it should be, because of the team record, and because Parker destroyed Nash in the last playoff series.

We're talking about this season only. O/wise you'd Dirk Nowitzki a shoe in as a starter because he was MVP 2 years ago.

Straight BS.................Gasol should've been there before a player from a losing team such as Jefferson. And I like D-Will and Melo but they've missed way too many games, but their teams do have winning records.

I'm a Celtic fan, yet I have to agree that Pau deserves to be on the All-Star team. In fact, he shouldn't even be on the "bubble", he should have been an ironclad lock. Kobe is the best player on that Laker squad, but it isn't like Pau isn't tremendously important to that team, or that he is having a bad year statistically. Gasol is the Laker's second best player, and an elite player in the league. Pau and Dirk are both relatively soft, but at least Pau is a low post player and a great passer. What has Dirk been doing lately? Big Al is on his way up, but better than Gasol? No.

4 in PER for PGs in the league behind Paul, Harris, and Parker
16.9 - PPG
5.4 - APG
3.4 RPG
1.2 - SPG
2.0 - TPG

.504 FG%
.446 3pt%
.880 FT%
These numbers are HUGE efficiency numbers!

Jose Calderon (playing injured for a couple of months)
Just 0.7 behind Nelson in PER
13.4 - PPG
8.6 APG
3.2 RPG
0.9 SPG
2.0 TPG

Let's talk about efficiency
0.511 FG%
0.470 3pt%
1.000 FT%
4.31 AST/TO

I personally think Jameer deserves to go to ASG (because of his team's record),
but those numbers are not impressive enough to convince the non-believers.
Btw, I am, in no way, suggesting Jose should be an all star.

Agree, don't get me wrong on AJ he's a damn good player but these selections should be based on what your team is doing and the impact you have to them. AJ certainly means a lot to Minny but they're still a work in progress to me. If the coaches did select what we saw in this post then it's either they have some personal vendettas against some of the guys they left off or they're just flat out dumb as hell.

Duncan got snubbed. Deron got...reverse-snubbed, i guess two years of being the all star snub payed of for him this year. He declined his skills challenge because he didn't he'd make the game.

posting this assuming that the lineups are real. which in my head i cant really be thinking is real

Oh great, now my posts are being edited by Flash3. Why would you lock the post as well? Now you're just making it seem like I "attacked" ( ) the guy I quoted, which is not the person it was aimed at.

I can't even say you are annoying Flash3? Is that such a HUGE attack that you need to get so insecure and edit it? I've seen so much worse than that go by on this board so often in the past, why don't you edit those ones? Hell I've seen YOU attack people. So stupid, stop abusing your power.

But meh to this anyways, since it's apparently all fake.

Thats debateable (you'd be hard pressed at this point in their careers to name any individual skill where Chauncey exceeds Deron), but Billups should be in over Deron this year. Deron missed a big chunk of games and has only gotten really healthy the last few weeks (and since has been putting up all-star numbers), but its tough to argue with wht Billups has done to turn around Denver.

Thank you, have you seen his January numbers?

He's getting 22 PPG on 45+ percent shooting from both 2 and the 3. Never mind that he's a catalyst for the fast break game. He's playing as good as Granger/Durant right now.

Iggy is having a nice season, but he doesn't belong in the All-Star game.

Yahoo! Sports obtained the rosters, and the West reserves also include the Los Angeles Lakers’ Pau Gasol, New Orleans Hornets’ David West, Dallas Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki, San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker, Denver Nuggets’ Chauncey Billups and Portland Trail Blazers’ Brandon Roy.

The East reserves include two Orlando Magic, Jameer Nelson and Rashard Lewis. East coaches also chose the Boston Celtics’ Paul Pierce, Atlanta Hawks’ Joe Johnson, Toronto Raptors’ Chris Bosh, New Jersey Nets’ Devin Harris and Indiana Pacers’ Danny Granger.

David West? I don't think his name has been mentioned once in All-Star considerations here. LOL.
