Still in a holding pattern.

The AP just crossed another non-story at 1:36 Eastern stating that the Lakers were awaiting word.

Well at least we'll get the results sometime today.

Hope he recovers soon. No-one wants to see a player's career limited or even ended by injury, least of all one as promising as Bynum. There's a potentially very special group of young centers in the NBA at the moment. Let's hope we see a fully healthy Bynum battling Dwight Howard, Greg Oden, Al Jefferson and Andres Biedrins (perhaps also Brook Lopez and Mark Gasol) for many years to come.

Ha! I love your avatar. Who is that blocking the shot? Super Mario Elie?

LaPhonso Ellis. Still have never managed to work out who it is he is blocking, though.

That block is Barkleyesque. Chuck used to do that stuff all the time. Then he would slolom basket to basket and dunk on your center.

"In the five games before he was hurt, he was averaging 26.2 points, 13.8 rebounds and 3.2 blocks and shooting 65.3 percent from the field."

Damn.

8-12 weeks isn't bad. Could be alot worse.

Hopefully it's not a bad diagnosis like last year

Wow. Gasol passed the injury virus onto Bynum. The Lakers are going to have to do something. Bynum can't keep getting extended and severe injuries every season.

8 - 12 weeks means he is done for the regular season and possibly playoffs, again...

Sucks for them, but they were able to win without him last yr so it's not that big of a loss, especially if it's this early in the season.
