A majority of GMs believe that the Lakers will repeat as NBA champions for the seventh time in their history, and that LeBron James will earn his second straight MVP award.

More than 70 percent believe that the Spurs — with the additions of Richard Jefferson, and Antonio McDyess and DeJuan Blair — did the most to improve their team this summer.

And even though 17.3 percent believe the Magic made the best moves of the offseason, only 7.1 percent believe Dwight Howard and friends will make a return trip to The Finals.

Why is that surprising to you? He was the #2 overall pick and at the time it seemed he had the most NBA ready body and skill set.

I'd give Dwight the best chance at MVP, Lebron has the repeat factor against him.

With KG's condition, I'd give the Magic the best chance to get out of the East too.

Using that reasoning, GM's should have selected Brook Lopez.

Beasley was conveyed as a tweener forward as he is a PF in a SF's body . Though he dominated the college game as a PF, GM's should have seen that Beasley would have trouble projecting as a PF in the NBA as well. The most logical fit for him was SF, but he obviously had many glaring weaknesses to play the SF position successfully. For some reason, GM's didn't really see this and just went by the hype instead.

In all honestly, Hayes should be number 1. He's a 6'5 relatively unathletic Center who can not score at all. Logic indicates he shouldn't be playing basketball for a living... but he does.

Okur has a 7 foot body and can rock the ball with the best of them. He is pretty gifted.

Actually, that's a great comparison for Hayes. The Rocket's O-Line. He's not moving when you back him down.

But offensive lineman are supposed to be big and fat. That's part o the norm.

Centers in the NBA aren't supposed to be 6'5. Chuck isn't even like say Ben Wallace, who despite his size is an athletic freak. Chuck is probably a below average athlete by NBA standard.

That's incredible. According to GMs, Kobe has been the best clutch player in the NBA for the last 8 years. I thought he may have just had it for the since 2005-2006. I didn't know his rep went way back to 2002-2003.
