Second time in two years Ariza has attempted to knock someone out from behind. He's a total idiot. And a bitch. He should ask KG on a date.

Really? Some Blazer fans still aren't over the Ariza play from last year? It was a severe over-reaction to begin with.

It was the reaction after the Rudy incident. No remorse, just trying to be hard. He's a bitch.

Please. Go look at the play again, he wasn't even given enough time to go over to Rudy and see if he was ok because Roy wanted to be a tough guy and get in Ariza's face. So what was he supposed to do? Say he's sorry to Roy when he's in his face talkin ****? Ariza didn't do anything "wrong", he went for the block and instead got his head.

Today, he didn't even connect, so I'm not sure what he was supposed to apologize for. Obviously, he knew he was wrong and didn't argue his ejection. And again, Jack was the one who came over to Ariza wanting to be the tough guy.

Yeah I don't know how some people say the two incidents are comparable. One is an attempted block to stop a fast break, the other was a closed fist, full force, out of frustration punch.

Umm.. that's really dirty. A shot to the back of the head could be fatal, hence why the UFC doesn't even allow shots to the back of the head.

Too the people that don't think it's a big deal. Would it make a difference if he had connected? I personally don't think that 'connecting' should determine the extent of the punishment. Woah... I think people here are underestimating how dangerous an elbow thrown at that force to the back of someone's head can be...feel that soft spot behind your head...

I think Ariza wanted to swing his arm in frustration and half wanted to hit Deroz but had just enough presence of mind to avoid striking the rook.

You have to give a 2 games suspension.

That said people saying Ariza is like KG for doing this... I don't recall KG trying to hit people from behind. He's an instigator yes, but he's a smart one an in control.

Blazer fans let it go already. The Rudy incident really wasn't that similar. Clearly Ariza was going for the ball on that play. Not the case in today's game against the Raptors.

He stripped the ball straight out of Ariza's hands and started running on the fast break. After DeRozan got the ball Ariza took a swinging miss with his elbow at the back of DeRozan's head who didn't seem to realize what happened cause he kept running the break but the refs stopped the play when Jarrett Jack got in Ariza's face.
