The Derozan incident was clearly way worse. But I'm just saying it should put last year's incident in a different light for those who called it a "play on the ball."

Nice to see a bit of passion in a game.

Cheapshot elbows to the back of the head are exactly the opposite of the kinda passion I want to see in games.

JailBlazer fans are still crying about that Rudy Fernandez "non-incident" from last year with Ariza????

:violin: Geeze talk about sensitive... Ariza barely touched him he just had an awkward fell.. There was nothing wrong with the play get over it... If rudy can't take a hit then he shouldn't attack the basket awkwardly.

Aren't they from rival high schools, rival colleges, and probably rival gangs? There is probably more to this.

Derozan didn't do anything to him. Ariza was 0/9 from the field and coughing up the ball to a rook wasn't helping things

Should be 2 games and Ariza should be forced to change his jersey number to his shooting percentage.

So basically just get suspended for 2 games and keep his number?

Had he connected it would have been alot longer than that. DeRozans head would still be bounding down court.

^He was clearly going for the ball. Blazer fans =

Uh...he whacks him round the back of the head and then acts like a badass when Rudy potentially has a career ending injury on the floor.

GTFO.. That play was clearly unintentional.

A couple of things:

Jarrett Jack is every bit of the leader I thought he was while watching him in Indy.

I think it's important that we don't suspend players for "what could have been." He threw a punch, suspend him for that. Don't suspend him for "well, Derozan could have been dead."

Blazer fans, get over it.

1 game suspension is warranted imo. Maybe max 2 games.

Thank You. That makes sense.

It sucks to see Ariza like that though.

Bosh is a certified bum. It seemed like he didnt even want to go over there. Ariza just lucky that Rasho was on the bench and being restrained by the assistant coaches.

Much ado about nothing. It's funny reading the posts here about what "could have" happened if.......

He struck only air and nothing else. You all b*tch about the NBA turning into a YMCA league with all the rules they've instituted over the years, but now you want someone suspended for swinging at air.

You can't have it both ways, and Blazer fans, quit rehashing your poor memory of what really happened last year.

Ariza isn't a bad guy, enforcer, or even a punk. He's a player every team could and would use to help them win.
