The man is going through what could be some of the toughest times of his life in his daughter being ill and what could be the end of his career despite being capable of being a contributor, and media is digging into his personal life even further.

The story is obviously going to all over the media either way, I just wish we could all let it be and give the man some peace, regardless of if he is liked/disliked.

I agree.

You and me both. If he could have bought into the system and been the scoring sixth man the Grizz desperately need, I think the season would have been significantly better for both parties: Grizz would have netted more than a few more Ws, and AI may have extended his career for 2-3 years by salvaging his image.

Doesn't surprise me. He always treated her like trash in the few moments I"ve seen her appear on AI documentaries.

One NBA source said yesterday that when Iverson was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Detroit Pistons in 2008, "he practically lived in the casinos." Numerous sources said he was banned from two of the three casinos in Detroit.

"Drinking and the casinos: Allen was always doing one thing, or was at the other," an Eastern Conference executive said last night. "No one who knows him can deny it."

I have a feeling something is very wrong with Iverson. His quick and abrupt fall from teh top and his loss of skills along with his erratic behavior and weird partying and now some headlines about him drinking lead me to believe that he's having a serious problem with Alchohol. I mean, his wife and kids are now leaving him, this man must feel like he's lost everything thats important to him, i could understand why alchohol is filling that void. I hope something bad doesnt happen to him.

His fall was quick, but much of that had to do with his own refusal to accept a more limited role. I don't think there is anything weird about his partying. I'm sure he spent his entire career hitting clubs and drinking.

With more idle time and his career over, he may be drinking more than previously, but I seriously doubt there is some drastic difference in his lifestyle.

And thus we reach the final chapter, where truly no one wants to be around Iverson anymore.

Final scene: Iverson sitting in a sleazy hotel room with a joint and a bottle of Thunderbird, talking to a cockroach..."Practice, man. They was talkin' 'bout PRACTICE..."

Feel sorry for the people in Chile who have lost everything because of Earthquakes. Dont feel sorry for a man who was given an opportunity to play in the NBA, something few can even dream about, and has alienated himself from everybody...even those closest to him...because of his pride and selfishness...

Yea, because whenever we feel sorry for someone, we have to justify it to the standard that is basically everything worse that is going on in the world. Children have been dying in Africa for decades and you're telling me you've never felt bad for anyone in your life? Surely they were better off and had been given a better opportunity than those kids.

There is no shame or blame in feeling for the guy. A sick child and a divorce can really happen to anyone, no matter how much money you make or the opportunity you were given.

Get a clue.

hahahahahha my point exactly. Feel sorry for dying kids in Africa. Dont waste a nanosecond feeling sorry for some punk a** POS that had everything and has lost it due to his own prideful, selfish behavior.

Wow, you're really dense aren't you. Read the post first man!

Yeah, even before that actually. They have been together for over 20 years. They've known each other since junior high.

I wonder what Iverson's gonna do now. He obviously doesn't seem the type who'd want to do broadcasting, and I doubt anyone would hire him to coach. I bet he doesn't even know what he wants to do with his life. Sad situation.
