WOW the Clippers are desperate.

I am a LeBron fan and want him to saty in Cleveland, but...
PG: Baron Davis/ High Draft Pick
SG: Eric Gordon
SF: LeBron James
PF: Griffen
C: Kaman/Jordan

Then ESPN would be all over "WHO WILL BE THE KING OF LA?"

I though i heard somewhere that the clippers hired the assistant gm. Maybe as an interm or something. Also the clips would DEFENITLY have to trade baron davis.

Sidenote, Whats better for marketing Lebron vs Kobe in LA or Lebron and DWade in NY?

The Clippers should hire a guy like Jerry Colangelo and let him do his thing. I dont know how much power Lebron wants. You cant go to players and say you get to pick the coach and gm. That gives them too much power. On the other hand, some players might be turned off by that situation.

I cant see Lebron leaving Cleveland. He ll re sign there I think. I dont think he would tease fans in Cleveland and New York so much if he was leaving.

LeBron's ego is too big to play 2nd fiddle to Kobe and the Lakers in LA. Wherever he is, he wants to be the biggest attraction in the city. Not going to happen in Laker town. And Bron is sure smart enough not to come to the Clippers for obvious other reasons as well.

Eh...pretty genius if you ask me. What else is going right for them? What has ever gone right for them?

It's pathetic that they're willing to let the best player in the league run their team if he were to sign there? I disagree. That's the smartest thing anyone could do.

Only way Lebron plays 2nd fiddle to Kobe in LA is if the Clippers continue to suck. If Lebron gets the Clippers to the playoffs, the Lebron and Kobe hype would be unmatched and Lebron would still be the darling of the league.

They could give him ownership interest and let him rename the team and he still wouldn't play for the Clippers. It's pretty much the only city where he wouldn't be the alpha dog if he signed. Why compete for L.A.'s affections with Kobe when you can be master of your own domain everywhere else. If people rule out Chicago because of Jordan's legacy despite him not having played there for over a decade then how is L.A. even a consideration where Kobe is far more popular than LeBron?
