Fun stat I just saw on Haliburton. He could have 133 turnovers before his next assist and still have a better AST/TO ratio than Steph Curry this season.

He also comes off humble in his interviews/podcasts. Likeable guy.

Cocky on the court, humble off the court. He also has this juvenile joy when he plays, and he comes across as an awesome teammate. I said it before and I'll say it again: he really reminds me of Steph in this regard.

I really enjoyed Cameron Johnson on JJ's podcast as well.

Feeling myself.

(though I confess I think I had him behind Okongwu at draft time)

Next step in the evolution. He has gained even more reputation around the league and plays more aggressively as a scorer, so teams will play him a bit differently and some will succeed. It's on him to figure out how to counter that if he wants to be a superstar.

He has succeeded in taking steps forward in the past but he's not yet at the end of that path when it comes to offensive mastery. With his unorthodox scoring style, it'll be interesting to see how that pans out as it may be a bit more difficult for him than for some other elite offensive players.

10th game in a row with 10+ assists. 14 APG to 2.6 TOPG over that stretch. 66 assists to only 4 turnovers (16.5:1 AST/TO ratio) in addition to scoring 25 PPG over the past 4 games for Haliburton.

The Pacers have now won 5 games in a row against quality opposition (HOU, CHI, NYK, 2x MIL) with Haliburton averaging 27/15 on 64% TS in those games. The Pacers outscored opponents by an average of more than 16 points per game in Haliburton's minutes.

Whatever slump the Pacers (as well as Haliburton for a couple games) were in, they seem to have broken out of it. It should be noted that the start of the streak coincided with a major line-up shift that saw Nesmith and Smith (both with excellent seasons) entering the starting 5. The DRTG has improved considerably, and the ORTG by a couple points as well, as a result – but it remains to be seen over the next weeks whether that is a real trend or just noise.

pre hammy

24,13,4 .63ts......was looking like a fringe Mvp candidate, barely turning it over considering ENORMOUS assist and top 3 Pg w/ Shai and Luka

Pacers were 19-13 looked dangerous as hell and was a real threat to scare if not upset one of the east top seed

post hammy

15, 9, 2 .56ts......7-9 after tonight most likely

they got an all star level player in Siakam since injury too......Hali was jumping, springing dancing all over the court passing like Magic Cp3 and shooting like Steph............he needs offseason and hopefully gets back to that level b/c hes not same player he was earlier in the season. I feel for Pacer fans they prolly still make playoffs but it could get tricky in playin.........they were a top 6 seed lock before

They didnt have a shot against us Imo w/ all due respect were a bad matchup but they were a scary matchup for Milwaukee, Miami, Cleveland or Philly even w/ Embiid Imo

They didn't give Hali a proper rest because he chases All-NBA Team recognition and supermax, that's the funniest part. I don't know if additional two-three weeks would've made a difference, but it's ridiculous at this point, Pacers are in play-ins at this point with their go-to-guy visibly struggling despite getting Siakam. And if he's not healthy, I don't think he can go through it and suddenly get better with a typical NBA schedule.
