This game reminds me that Lakers could have had Kyrie but they didn't want to give up multiple FRPs and swaps

If he had done that, the Mavs offer would have gotten leaked and he’d get bashed for bidding against himself. I don’t think anyone expected Kyrie to be this normal for an entire season either.

This is probably a cope on my part but Mavs got lucky for sure. He misses a postseason once every 2 or 3 yearst. If they qualify he still has to make it to May-June without breaking his kneecap or something. Most of Kyrie's teams have had their first playoff run prematurely gimped by Kyrie injuries.

Year 21 age 39...1st round playoff numbers 27.3 ppg on .577 FG%, 0641 TS%, 8.3 apg, 6.3 rpg, 2.0 spg, 1.3 bpg and the lone hiccup, 4.5 topg. How anyone denies this dude is not on the Mt. Rushmore of the NBA or in the GOAT conversation is beyond me. It's willfull stupidity and/or ignorance at this point.

Cognitive dissonance. LeBron Derangement Syndrome is a real thing. Never seen an athlete induce cognitive dissonance in people the way LeBron does.

Don't forget his defense has been excellent.

Grain of salt is very much applicable here, but exactly why I’d like to keep Reaves - assuming LeBron and AD are run back. Regardless of how the season ends, not losing sleep over DLo being gone (ideally through S&T). Despite playing terrible, Rui and Vando being back off the bench too is something I wouldn’t hate. With better coaching and more stability, they can have a legit impact - granted not playing a starters’ load of minutes.

Three targets I’d very much want in LA:
• Mikal
• TJ McConnell
• Chris Paul

Funny how Gabe has fared the worst somehow, but small sample

I woldnt mind TJ honestly depending on other moves

Definitely wont help our shooting though, but a smart playmaker and I can trust the offense a bit when Bron is off the floor. Also a solid defender

I genuinely didn't think he'd be useful in this matchup. He's too small for Murray. The extra 2-3" of height Reaves has is better, and to his credit, he's clearly accepted the challenge 4 games in.

The wolves defense reminds me so much of the 2020 lakers. Ridiculous size and ability to guard space.

Yup, I mentioned this the other day to a couple friends

I dont think we had a guard athlete like Ant, but overall we had a good group

Ant, Mcdaniels, Naw, and Kyle Anderson vs Caruso, KCP, Avery Bradley, Kuzma, Danny Green

Gobert, KAT, and Reid vs AD, Dwight and or Mcgee, and Bron

Even Rondo could be pesky come playoff time. And then we added Kieff late

Man we were kinda loaded defensively. Forgot about Bradley even and had to add him in afte typing this up

For years we would hear about how KD was so much more “portable” than LeBron cause LeBron “needs the ball in his hands to be dominant.”

Well, this shows why that argument is so stupid. LeBron is probably one of the most portable players ever because he can fill whatever hole your team needs. You need a scoring wing to get you 30 every night? Bron can do that. You need a point guard who can run the offense and get you 10 assists a night? LeBron can do that too. KD can score, and that’s about it. He’s not filling in other gaps for you. But somehow Bag Twitter has convinced folks Bron isn’t ‘portable’ because he’s not a ‘pure hooper.’

Rui has been a trainwreck my god. Also very odd rotations from Ham here, taking Lebron out so early in the quarter. I'm guessing he's worried about fatigue.

They didn't do enough to capitalise on a shaky start by Denver. All those blown layups and open threes by Rui :nonono:

Feels like Denver planted that Jamal Murray story. Hes making all these tough shots

Rui is playing poorly rn

Is Vando not ready?

And then Dlo is just not a playoff caliber starter/closer. Can be in the reg season, but not come playoff time

He cant take advantage of closeouts and finishing at the basket like an elite guard would. Trae Young would be hitting floaters, Mitchell would be taking it to the basket and finishing, same for Lavine if healthy, and ofc Kyrie could finish at the basket or hit the pull up

4-16 from 3 simply won't get it done. DLo gagging hard again.

Lakers must stop to shoot contested threes, drive drive drive drive drive drive drive...

wtf is gabe vincent shooting a three with jokic in front of him, obviously missed
next play hachimura attack in drive jokic and made an easy layup
+3 only with +5 offensive rebound and -4 turnovers compare to denver is too poor

Strange to say but with a few made shots, they can actually win the series. Too bad they won’t get them.

Also, the Nuggets have outscored the lakers by 15 if you take the final 100 seconds of the first quarter and the final 80 seconds of the 2nd. The Lakers have outscored the Nuggs by 18 in the other 21 minutes.
