Or where people will hesi and then hit a pullback dribble and shoot, Brunson has the footwork to add in another crossover and sidestep on top of that to generate space. It's unreal. He's like the Tasmanian Devil lol. Just a whirling dervish.

Also I like what I see on defense. He doesn't get smoked by other PGs in iso, and on rotations he's always in position rotating early at the nail to slow down Embiid on short rolls and contesting defensive rebounds. I expected him to have a mini Harden-esque leap coming to New York as the man. He's taken almost a full Harden leap honestly.

Unreal what a guy this small is doing without outlier athleticism. The combination of skill and physicality is remarkable. Glad I got to go to Knicks-Warriors this year and see him up close

Seriously. But I do think his strength for his size miiight be outlier. I've seen him bump centers off before which is unreal.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Brunson is a killer.

Some Jalen Brunson fun. Knicks are lucky to have him.

Passivity is probably the only weakness Jokic has on offense.

Jokic still had 25 points, 20 rebounds, and 9 assists. Passive scoring maybe but he’s still a workhorse on the boards. Insane career defining stat lines for other players are him having a down game, he’s lunacy on the court.

When you’re this good and being compared to GOATs there’s high expectations. The most damning thing is that he was hardly trying during good portions of these games.

Read on Twitter

Never been a clearer changing of the guard new era emerging

If Dallas beats Clips then Kawhi, Harden, Pg, Russ all out too

The remaining teams would have

Haliburton
Tatum
Brunson/Embiid
Mitchell/Banchero
Sga
Jokic
Ant
Luka

as their best players............every single one a 2020s era player. Rip 2010s Nba

Jamal Murray took 27 more shots than Jokic in the series and had a -20 % TS compared to Jokic.

That won't get it done vs the Wolves.

MPJ and offensive rebounding were the key to the Nuggets win. MPJ shot a blistering 70% TS and the Nuggets shot 33 more times than the Lakers did. Lakers basically outplayed them this series IMO and they couldn't secure defensive boards in key situations.

In a year where I heard constantly about how dangerous the bottom of the West was (I got in on it too) and how the RS doesn't matter anymore - the top 3 seeds advance with a 12-1 cumulative record.

Lakers were the sole dangerous team at the bottom imo (only road team that I think qualified as a top eight postseason threat), but there is a difference between being dangerous and being an expected or reasonably likely upset.

The thing I still marvel at most with brunson is how he doesn't change how he plays even if it's like a 6'8" wing guarding him. He still backs them down, uses the same footwork, etc and somehow it works. Because it's not like he's quicker than those bigger defenders. It's only when it's a legit big guarding him that he'll back out and try to take them off the dribble. But yeah, he's incredible. Can't say enough about him at this point.

Warriors not making the top 8 changed perceptions some. But the only real surprise for me was Phoenix not putting up any kind of fight. Denver and OKC making quick work of their series felt inevitable.

Oh and the regular season not mattering is a feedback loop, more than its reality.

You all know I am not LeBron fan by any stretch of imagination, but should we have a celebration moment of how incredible this guy played against the defending champions at 39 years old? I marveled at his BBIQ and skills so many times during watching the series, I think we shouldn't take it for granted. Sooner or later we will lose him in the league, appreciate how he just performed at the age when most players are either retired or washed up.

I know they won in 5, but Denver not looking as invincible as I would have thought

How do people like their chances versus Minny? Should be a good series

Do you rate him over Kareem at this point?

I like their chances, but this is about to be an electric series regardless. Am somewhat sad the Lakers are eliminated, but we are about to be in for some fun basketball there. Neither team winning would surprise me

Fun Fact(s).

LeBron has played in more Minutes in his 30's than Kawhi Leonard has played in his entire career. LeBron has a better career of just his 30's than the #34 player on the RealGM Top 100 Board.

Meanwhile his career in his 20's rivals Bird's entire career, who was voted #12 on the list.

Meanwhile, Kareem's career broken into those two segments...

His 20's is similar to Jokic's entire career, who was voted #26 on the list.
His 30's+ is similar to Giannis's entire career, who was voted #25 on the list.

That Lebron added Jokic to his rivals list is pretty crazy timeline wise.
