I've got Bargnani behind the other two no matter what... well, unless Bynum is an injured wreck for the rest of his career, but I don't think its fair to predict that yet.

As far as actual centers go, I like Bynum's size and potential, but Al-Jeff's skillset is too good to ignore.

So right now, its Jefferson/Bynum/Bargnani.

In 5 years, it could be Bynum/Jefferson/Bargnani, if Bynum can stay healthy, I like his defense and rebounding better than Al-Jeff.

Bargs doesnt belong in the conversation. Its Jefferson than Bynum, if Bynum can stay healthy then I think it will be Bynum then Jefferson.

Al Jefferson is obviously the best player right now. If Bynum develops and continues to improve (as well as stay healthy) then he can surpass Al Jefferson.

Bargnani doesn't belong in this conversation.

Why are people acting like Big Al won't improve? And what has Bynum shown except missing games that he can be better than Big Al? It's safe to say that Bynum will never be the offensive player/scorer that Big Al is.

Bynum and Bargs have a long way to go to catch up to Jefferson. Except for in the injury department. Bynum pretty much already has him beat, there.

Unfortunately, most days of the week Andrew isn't healthy. He's played in 65% of the Lakers' games over the last 4 years. That's the worst of the three, by a WIDE margin.

If you're refering to me and it would tickle your fancy to ignore his rookie year, we can, it jumps it up to a big old 67.8%. Take a bow.

How about just the past two years and go with immediate recent past? 51.8%

Are you seriously arguing that Bynum is player that can be counted on? Or did you want to try and skew the numbers a different way? How about total number of games played in the LA area? Does that help the argument?

no, its just silly to include his rookie numbers to make your point. its dishonest. he was the youngest player ever drafted playing for a coach notorious for not playing rookies.

I'm fine with that. We can stick with the 67.8%, which is still the worst of the three. Or if you want to ignore his first 2 years, we can go with the 51.8%. Your choice.

stop acting like jefferson is the prime example of health. he played the same number of games as bynum last yr. has one full 82 game season like bynum, and has never missed less than 10 games in another other season.

basically u used bynum's rookie yr in a dishonest way. whether it was intentional or from ignorance, u couldn't man up and decided to go on some wild rant. its ok though.

Not saying he is the prime example, but he's not as bad as Bynum when it comes to games missed.

My argument was against the guy with this ridiculous statement.

Bynum's defense is probably the most overrated aspect of his game, which is funny, because every aspect of his game is overrated to begin with..

when he's on his game..you know, those 5 games a year where he looks good..he's a pretty good individual defender with his size/length/athleticism..I haven't been impressed with his team defense at all though..he was an average anchor at best last year, he doesn't have any defensive desire at all, and he's foul prone..

you have to go with Jefferson..his defensive flaws can be covered with a good defensive role player next to him..I wonder how Al's numbers would look if he had a better team than the horrible Wolves, let alone having OJ **** Bryant and Lamar Odom on his team..

Al Jefferson is the best right now by far. he also has shown the most ability to improve him game so likely has the highest ceiling. I think this is clearly Al Jefferson first, and only LA fans could possibly think other.

Bynum and Bargs are both overrated but I will take Bynum because he is a 7 footer with center skills.

^How is Bargs overrated? 90% of RealGM still thinks this guy's a scrub because he isn't a traditional big man.
