This is the first reasonable prediction you've ever made. I agree.

15 is a bit high IMHO. 13-13.5 is more likely. for 15, you have to create some shots for yourself as well, unless you are David Lee playing on the Knicks with up tempo. Ariza lacks both of these attributes.

LOL at Ariza even being an option on offense. The Rockets are going to be difficult to watch. I miss Yao.

ariza is one of the BEST COMPLIMENTARY players in the league...
being an "option" is a completely different observation on him.

there are only a hand full of teams he can prevail with, and the following come to mind--

1. lakers
2. cavs
3. bulls
4. suns

How many PPG...*

Many for certain quantities, much for uncertain quantities.

He won't play as well as he did for LA in the playoffs. He doesn't have the support to play off of.

11 PPG is my guess.

No he won't play as well, but he'll play more and be a focal point of offense (unfortunately), this will give him more PPG, more minutes, and worse FG%.

he avg'd 10 ppg over the preseason.

I'd go with anywhere from 9-12.

12.5/game

He's a complimentary player that can't create his own shot

Those are reasonable numbers. He's going to be one of the main options on offense, unfortunately for the Rockets, but he's really just a role player that's being forced into that position. His TS% is going to take a big time dip from last years numbers because he'll have to create for himself and take more challenged shots. He certainly won't be getting all those transition opportunities or wide open spot-up 3's that he had with the Lakers.

I really don't understand why the Rockets signed Ariza though. Battier is a better option for what they need (defense and 3-point shooting).

Lower fg% more ppg, I think LA's system suited Ariza.
