I'm very impartial to this because I'm a bulls fan, but I take Beasley nonetheless.

I think Gallo is a good player. No knock on him but I'd take Beasley..Playing 3 less minutes a game, Beasley averages more points, more rebounds, steals, and shoots a better field goal percentage.

Beasley's the better scorer, defender, and has shown the killer instinct. Can create his own shot and doesn't settle for 3 pointers. Get's high percentage baskets by attacking the rim.

Factor in that he's a tad bit younger and has a higher ceiling.

you do realize that beasley has played 2 less games than gallo and has taken 150 more shots than him and is only averaging .7 more points per game then him.

Beasley's a better scorer so I'd presume he shoots more. On top of that, Beasley is better in most statistical categories, plays less minutes, is on a better team with a higher ceiling . That's all there is to it IMO

Beasley just admitted that Charles Barkley's comments affected his game. That's what you call soft. He might have to check into rehab again this offseason for hurt feelings.

This is why this thread sucks, nobody trying to support their player, just ragging on the other guys.

Well other than blind homerism like "Gallo anyday" or "Beasley all the way".

Beasley know because he is NBA ready, as in if he was the #1 option there might be an adjustment period but he would get into it real quick

As a Knicks fan i watch alot of Gallo and i think his ceiling is higher. While Beasley could be Jaminson2.0(means he play defense too) i think Gallo could be...well i really don't know he has alot of different attributes and is already an elite shooter...IMO Gallo in the futur:dirk/watered-down bird hybrid----note that i said watered-down, as in not as good but i hope better/////KNICKS 2010

Eh not as high on either as I used to be. I think Gallinari's ceiling is now a poor man's dirk putting up 22 and 7 as a second option. more likely hes going to put up 17 or 18 ppg as a 3rd option though. I have been Dissapointed by Beasley's play at times this year. But at some points i have been very impressed. His career his entirely up to him. We have seen some flashes from him but we need to see it more consistantly. His defense and rebounding really need to improve at the PF spot. Overall, I continue to say this is a fair comparison and the player you prefer should be based on the system

To be honest these two are nearly statistically identical after almost a whole season. It's still a toss up on who's better but I guess it comes down to preference. Both have a pretty high ceiling, both are skilled, both have attributes that are impressive. I guess I like Gallo better cause he's a Knick right now....lol. Plus Beas' fragile mental make up would make me wary. It's not the pot, it's being soft mentally.

The only reason I had bumped this is because a lot of people have called Gallo a soft person who stands in the corner.

However to this date Beasley has gone to the line 213 times where as Gallo has went 250 times.
Gallinari doesn't get that many rebounds because he is now always on the perimeter guarding the opposing teams best player, but still gets five.
Gallinari gets more blocks, fouls less, has more assist, less turnovers and is clearly the more efficient offensive player.
Beasley gets more offensive rebounds and rebounds all together.

It's funny how some people call Gallo soft. He's probably the toughest and most intense guy on our team. But most non Knick fans don't watch him play, and assume he's soft because he's from Europe. Sad really.
