Lack of speed hurts us and his defense, but on offense he can be amazing. I hope he gets more touches and minutes. Go AJ

Man, 2023 was definitely a year to forget for AJ.

Here's hoping he gets his swag back and can snag a spot in the rotation moving forward.
It'd be a season-saving occurrence if both Jalen and Griffin could snag permanent roles in the top 8 Hawks for the rest of the season.

He had a great start to 2023 (the calender year), but a tough finish. Here's to hopefully a better 2024.

This probably weighed on him some:

That likely explains it.

(Though his underwhleming summer league occurred before this tragedy.)

But, man, that would weigh on me as an adult, let alone as a teenage millionaire with massive expectations and responsibilities.

That's a lot to have on your shoulders all at once.

They want to trade draft capital for AJ and then relegate him to the bench, too? :sour:

This just doesn't make any sense. How does to go to a guy coming off going to the AS Rookie game to looking like he forgot how to play basketball?
Quin reduced his minutes last season in favor of JJ, so I got that.....but to give him ZERO makes no sense.
And the way Bey is struggling shooting, can AJ really be worse.

This definitely feels like a subtle way for the front office to show interested teams that AJ is physically fine and fully healthy...
