Poor Benjamin. The criticism has been swift and unceasing.

I'm glad this never happened! Ben has the most under water trade value in the NBA right now. He is the new Vin Baker.

What would they give Atlanta to take him off their hands?

Good question. Brooklyn declined to trade BS over the summer because his trade value was so low.

Well...that gamble hasn't panned out.

I'd still look to acquire him to be our Draymond Green, but I can't justify sending out any type of real value as poorly as he has played thus far.

With that said, it's still early. And Brooklyn is officially a dumpster fire. We're better suited to salvage Ben at this point...off the bench.

I don't remember exactly but I think that the rumor was ATL offering Gallo and Reddish for Simmons, and it was to play him as 6th man
It would be a bit special to see him with ATL after having not played since June 20th, 2021... because of ATL beating his team (and a game where they were +1 in 36min with Simmons, but in negative with Embiid and Harris, and even more with Maxey, Thybulle and Hill)

Almost everybody are saying he's not able to play, I would say .500 odds he get back to a positive impact, if he keeps this goal in his head and has some guys supporting him in the team

PS: watching the last minutes of BKN-DAL, BKN was leading 110-106 with 3min left, Simmons at +9 , and it's Irving and Durant making bad decisions after bad decisions, not Simmons
They are -23 in 20min with Duke Jr... they really miss T.J. Warren, Joe Harris, Seth Curry and Markieff Morris

Trailing 110-112, steal from Simmons and assist to Durant to tied the game with 8.8 sec left, followed by good defense on Doncic to go to OT

You see he's still out of rhythm, but he's certainly not dead

Would you do this trade...?

KD and Ben for Collins, Bogdanovic, Hunter, Griffin, Culver, JHoliday

Cap
Johnson/Kong
KD
Murry
Trae

Bench: Ben, AHoliday, Kaminsky

Ben has the worst contract in the NBA and im guessing they want to package him with KD to get him off the books. Cap is not included in the package because i'm assuming Nets want to get expiring contracts back like Culver and Holiday.

Nets get three solid starters in Collins, Hunter and Bogs, a rookie in AJ, and a bunch of cap space.

Hawks have to eat Ben's contract but they get KD to go along with Trae and Murry.

Yes. 10 times out of 10 times. Not sure Brooklyn would.

That Hawks team would have a serious leadership void in the locker room.
Just a team full of divas, hot heads and knuckleheads.

Not sure about packaging him with Durant, I feel more that they want to wait for the return of Warren, and if he performs again, packaging Ben+Warren

^ TOR would want KD but they already said Scotty is untouchable. so would OG be enough?

POR could also make an offer to the Nets and throw a bunch of young players for KD

MIA defiantly want KD but Herro has been underperforming and I don't know if the Heat are willing to give up Bam

PHX always is after KD but I don't think Ayton can be included, so would Bridges be enough?

Then there is LAL and do the Nets want a 31yr AD?

And just after starting to really questioning Simmons availability and level of play...
a win Vs the best western team, with Simmons at 15pts (6/6), 12rbd, 7ast, 1blk and 1TO in 32min (fouled out), for a +13 Plus/Minus

I didn't like the kid coming out of college or while he was dating a Kardashian. But at this point, I am rooting for him.

And his skill set would have been a welcome addition here.

Man, I wish we had gotten aboard the Ben Simmons train when his stock was down.

He's looking good of late.

Brooklyn may just hope his value increases so they can move him.

Ben is a huge mistake no matter how you look at it.
