Since BB is gonna get it regardless, I decided to vote for Pierce.
He deserves credit for a great all-around effort in 45 minutes, and without him we would've lost by more than we would've without Big Baby (though obviously without either it would've been an L).
Still, Baby deserves it for stepping up the way he did.

Interesting stat: Boston was +23 with KG, -16 without him.
I voted for Baby. Great time to have a breakout game. He didn't play well against Detroit last time, so props to Doc for giving him another chance.
That offensive rebound where he split 2 Detroit guys was the unsung turning point. Gave us another chance to score and burn the clock.

I think that there will be a large faction wanting Glen to start over Perkins at center, but I don't think it should be that way. Perkins' sheer size and defense ability should be on the floor first and formost. What Glen has shown, is that he can bring a formidable presence to the team and should get more minutes. He and Perk are showing they need to be sharing time, not one over the other particularly. In this game, we needed Glen's offensive ability. Another night, we may need something else. This team has some versatility, and they need to figure out how to utilize it. I think Doc did a good job riding out what Glen was doing rather than simply going with a veteran or going away from what was working.
I agree completely. People will want to talk about BBD in a historical sense, but lets look at the present. Big Baby is playing very valuable minutes for the best team in pro basketball. The fact that Danny found this gem in the second round can not be stated enough.

I had to vote for Big Baby
He also got in the foul trouble, ticky tack or not. Perk also did a great job in the first half offensively and did some nice things defensively in the second half. It is nice to see him throwing down dunks.
The Cigar goes to Baby for just and 1 after and 1. The opportunities were certainly created by Pierce who had a masterful game, but Davis just has velcro on those mits and he finished with contact that hasn't been universal especially the last two games as it seemed missing lay ups had become a disease.

Cigar Standings through 29-3
Paul - 9 cigars
KG - 6 cigars
Rondo - 4 cigars
Ray - 3 cigars
Big Baby - 3 cigars
Perk - 2 cigars
James - 1 cigar
TA - 1 cigar
Also Doc doesn't get much love in the Cigar Poll and probably shouldn't but he doesn't get a ton of love in general and he coached a great game last night. Didn't panic when KG got in foul trouble and do something crazy like, well go with Scal. Loved subbing Tony in for defense down the stretch. It seemed like we scored coming out of almost every timeout with the ball.
