Bam is not good enough to need “stoppers”

Oh yes he is.

Are we talking about the same Adebayo that got locked up by a Geriatric Horford in the ECF last season.

X-man will only be as good as the opportunity he gets. Joe may decide to play him intermittently and behind Kornet. And I mean more in the playoffs than regular season.

He does need to get his touch back. He would be unplayable in the playoffs if he keeps shooting 40% from the field.

Old Horford is one of the best big man defenders in the league.

Old Al is still better than Tillman. But, i like that brad went defense first. Celtics have plenty of shooting and scoring. .

Read on Twitter

Of course it is. It's unfair to judge him on whatever the Grizzlies are this season just like players shouldn't be judged on the numbers they put up on garbage teams like the Wizards and Pistons.

Question on Tillman for next season. Is there a limit to what the Cs can pay him with thier 2nd apron situation? I know he has bird rights.

Yeah I think the only restriction is that we can't sign and trade him..like we did last year with Grant..

No one expects him to be terribly expensive I wouldn’t think. Any guesses on figures of a new deal? End of season and playoffs impact withstanding of course…

I would think he'll want at least the amount of money Pritchard got - if not more..

I was guessing a 4/30 type thing…I guess if he dominates Jokic in the finals he gets a bit more.

I wonder if he's going to be content with his minutes? He's averaged 17 for his career and 20 this season in Memphis with several starts. Reduced now to crunch time only minutes might play with his psyche a bit. I know he should get some solid minutes when KP or Al are out, but will it be enough to keep him engaged?

Maybe it won't but I would rather Tillman lose interest for lack of minutes than force feed him minutes. The main goal is to win, not to make Tillman happy. If playing Tillman more minutes helps us win then he'll get his minutes.

Agreed, but if we're intending on using him for the playoffs at all, he has to be ready and acclimated to our team. We only have 3 more back to backs, so not a lot of those where Al and or KP will sit. Maybe some additional rest down the stretch for Al gets him some full games.

Brad is a genius. The guys can defend and pass the ball. They are ignoring his finishing this year, and are looking at his historical performance. I am sure they charted every shot this year.

I look at him as a Horford replacement as first big off the bench.

Yeah I think once we are comfortably in the lead for the 1st seed we'll see a lot more of the bench guys. Maybe in a couple weeks we'll have an insurmountable lead.

Until I saw him in a Celtics uniform I didn't realize that Tillman was such a large human being. Bravo Brad.
