Its fine to lose at home. That happens. Just not like that.

Really?

Losing by 1pt or 2pts is worse.

Losing a close game only confirms the Cs are bad in the clutch.

Ok.

The Tatum pressers are **** depressing. There is no fire in that guy. No respect for our fan base as well for these performances at the TD Garden

It really does seem like he's not enjoying playing the game currently.

Didn't drop a home game but the 2008 team did lose by 20 to the Cavs team that started Wally Szcerbiak and Delonte West.

Yep. My buddy has been all over him the last few years and I've tried to defend him for a while but unless some mental thing unlocks him he's just not that guy. He's Not a killer on the court. 7 playoff games and the first one was his best one the rest all mid. Simply Not good enough.

Does anyone who is really down on Tatum also think that Joe is using him properly?

The Celtics are going to be better with almost any other head coach.in the NBA.

Joe is terrible at in-game adjustments and admitted as much during the post-game press conference when he said he'd have to look at the film to see what went wrong. Good coaches can diagnose problems as they happen.

Joe's a separate issue. See how far we go before I grade him. All star roster and the easiest path you will ever get. He should be fired if they dont make the finals..but they wont do it.

Now tell it to OKC, MIN or NY
Nothing like this would have happened to them. No mental lapses. No low energy game. Go for the throat. WIN!
Even if the offense doesn't work, there is no excuse not to defend with high energy. Crash the boards. Harass the other team.

This is why I think they are soft and lack the mentality to win it all.
They need to grow. Fast
Hell, I would play PP 48 minutes. He is the only dog on this team. All the other players are nice guys.

And to top it - we have a joke of a coach. Can't adjust game to game. Can't change anything within a game. His ATO play and end of time plays are a joke.
I can't stand it anymore.

Let's be very honest. Most fans (most as in 99.9999%) can't recognize an in-game adjustment if it dropped on their heads. At best people notice which players are on the floor or when a time-out is called.

The proper way to use Tatum is to move the ball and let easy shots come to him. He sucks at iso ball and it hurts the team.

Even the great teams of the past sometimes lay an egg in the playoffs.

Losing another clutch game will only reinforce the narrative that the Cs are bad in the clutch.

As opposed to continuing to reinforce the narrative that this team has been awful in the playoff over the last several years at home? I get laying an egg, but when a team loses just 4 games at home all year and now has already lost 2 it is an issue.

Still unbeaten on the road in the playoffs.

This team lays an egg from time to time.

We've seen it in the regular season.

I just realized Tatum hasn't scored 30 in these playoffs yet. I'm all down for Tatum passing the ball around when it's working, but when the team needs YOU to take over a game, can you? He didn't last night. Sometimes you need your best player to go win you a game. This playoff run is gonna be such a huge legacy defining moment for this guy. He literally has no excuses left other than, I failed.

26 years old.

If JT wins a chip now, he would have done something that MJ, Lebron, KD, and Steph couldn't do.

He’s not using him properly, but its not just Joe. Same thing with Brad and Ime. Maybe this is how JT wants it.
Before i use to think Brad isn’t using JT properly, or not using an offense to get him easy shots. It still happens. Same problems. I think its more on JT, than with the coach at this point. I would prefer him to get the ball at the post, then Take an easy jump shot, or try to get to the rim. As to JT bringing the ball up. Camp behind the 3pt line, and try to dribble inside. It takes a lot of effort from him doing that. Also, he is prone to take those ugly side step iso 3 ball if he’s there.
