IMHO, bumping a 9-year-old thread deserves a lifetime ban.

I like bumped threads. Is there a rule about this btw? There should be something like these automatic daily memories on Facebook. A selection of threads started that day in the history of realGM, we'd detect many gems for sure.

Well, there's a difference between bumping an old thread because there's some recent event hook that makes it mildly interesting to revisit, versus going to page 855 of the forum and lazily bumping the oldest thread just because it's the oldest, which is what happened here.

It happens every now and then. The next time we do it, we'll have officially bumped all threads from Jan 1st 2008, and move into Jan 2nd material.

The randomness has some appeal.

I always liked "The Flying Brick" but Posey was a clutch, 3D swing who gave pregame hugs(even KG & Rondo without being harmed) and wispered words of incitement to send them in to such a frenzied state that even a team with Scott Pollard, Brian Scalabrine and Gabe Pruitt could not be denied a championship

I haven’t seen it happen in a long time, but it used to be a major problem with certain posters doing it the damn time. It was very annoying. This did not annoy me though and I can appreciate the nostalgia since it was so isolated.
