a.k.a. the Eclipse!

He needs his own thread. I just searched and couldn't find one. Feel free to merge this if there already is one, mods.

Small sample size or not, He should have at least solidified the 3rd center spot. In Fact I can't remember even the great Timelord ever catching and reversing an alley-opp dunk :o :D

steady playing time or a "real chance" is what I always say a player needs to prove himself. Playing with more confidence = much better results.

No knock on Luke, I still can't wait for Rob Williams to come back though.

Laugh all you want about his 3-pt defensive antics, but he's currently leading the team in opponent 3FG% from above the break and 3rd behind Hauser and Pritchard in opponent 3FG% from the corners.

His 6.8% block percentage would match the Celtics franchise record for a single season (held by Timelord from last season) if maintained and if he qualifies.

Kornet looked so confident and his play was so much better than we have seen. It is in best interests of him and team to keep that going if possible. I’d like to see him get regular burn with second unit as much as possible to see if he can get into a groove and be more consistent.

(note: i don't actually believe this stat because it's pure noise but its fun nonethless)

Opponents are shooting 30% from 3 while Kornet is in the game. The eclipse works !

Kornet has length, you can work to get him to at least adequate on a team this adaptable at the 4 both offensively and defensively. He's intelligent, a worker, and team first.

Agreed. And while I don't ever see Kornet as a Legit starting center, I must admit it is "fun" at times watching him play..

He definitely needs to be better and more aggressive near the Rim with the ball, but he does whip the ball around quickly and find open shooters which only helps our ball movement in general when teammates know he will be looking for them.

Great game from Kornet Abdul Jabbar (great name BTW!)
He seems a little gassed at times though. Work on your conditioning.

The best part in this vid form me is the huge smile on Tatum's face when he high-5 the bench mob after his made 3.
Haven't seen him having so much fun playing in a while.

If he can develop as solid depth along with Hauser it's huge. They need a few good young (cheap) productive bench guys.

days later that reverse alley-oop dunk still gets me -- I've never seen that act performed so utterly nonchalantly. How chalant was it? Utterly non. Zero chalants.

I think what we're witnessing here, and this happens sometimes, in sports and in life, is the rise of one of the true all-time greats. Luke Kornet will slaughter your false GOATS and idols!

Eddie P! One of the biggest 'ball gatherers' of all time. Tommy almost never said anything else about him other than "stop bringing the ball down low when you get it!!"

I think he's coaching somewhere, maybe at the college level?

My hope as well. So far he has done a decent job, and has earned a chance for more consistent minutes IMO. The lineup of White (or Brogdon), Hauser, Tatum, Grant, and Kornet has proven to be effective. Al can benefit from reduced minutes, and I imagine RWill will be seeing reduced minutes when he returns. The opportunity is there, and it looks like Luke is stepping up.

Just a random thought while waiting for the Big event tonight..but In think People here would appreciate Kornet more if he didn't look like a throw-back from Leave-it-to-Beaver..

And I am being 100% serious with this.
