If Kornet has this type of game people are clamoring to trade him. The double standard is real. I went with Tatum for the cigar.

Kornet has been great. I am all in the green Kornet. I don’t think we can find a better 3rd big/ 9th man than Kornet. With him and Horford out Queta stepped up and filled the hole.

Yup, Kornet is a solid 3rd big and Queta is a solid 4th big.

Good job, Brad.

Love the way the guys on the team root for each other.

Al is the man - such a good teammate.

And this play by Queta was awesome!

White with the super aggressive mindset in this game. He averages 7.2 drives per game this season. Drove 15 times against Indy. :o Got 12 of his points from there. His other 12 pts from 3. So it's rim, floaters, FT, threes.

None of JB, JT, or White committed a turnover in their combined 36 drives. Had a combined 33 points and 5 assists off those.

Nice win last night. Voted JT for VC, had an awesome game. Voted DWhite for CP. DWhite is back!

Let's keep this rolling as the Celtics head into a lighter part of their schedule.

Queta gets 14 rebounds per 40 minutes..

Kornet gets 10 in that same 40 minute..

Just saying..

Defensive rebounding percentage
Queta 21.0%
Walsh 85.0%

Just saying...

Walsh is King!

Jaylen's backhanded tap, while less dramatic, was nicely done too.

Brown is a bad culprit with this most of the time for sure. But he is not the only guilty one here.

I can't think of any guard ever who has such great timing on blocking shots. Reggie Lewis had a long reach and could definitely block some stuff. Including his 3-4? blocks in one game on Jordan. But White doesn't have the same length, makes up for so much with incredible timing. That is something that can't be taught.

Oh well, plenty of reasons to make a Celtics fan heart beat in the second half. Thanks to Tatum (2 great blocks, 30 pts. 7 boards, 7 assists), Holiday (17 pts. on 8 shots, 3 blocks), White (15 point Q1 and overall nice game) and even Queta.

An alternative view:

Pts + Rebounds + (0.5 x Assists) + Steals + (0.5 x Blocks) - Missed Field Goals - (0.5 x Missed Free Throws) - Turnovers - (0.5 x Fouls)

+32 Jayson Tatum 39 minutes
+27.5 Jaylen Brown 36 minutes
+23.5 Jrue Holiday 39 minutes
+21 Derrick White 35 minutes

+12.5 Kristaps Porzingis 24 minutes
+7 Sam Hauser 23 minutes

+4.5 Payton Pritchard 16 minutes
+4 Neemias Queta 14 minutes
+0.5 Oshae Brissett 6 minutes

Team Total = 132

The starters did all the stat-sheet filling -- e.g., 17+ points each. But the bench had all the big numbers in the +/- column.

This suggests somebody handled the rotations pretty well. ;)

Sam Cassel ?? 8-)

Regularly during Boston's mid 80s run. Fast breaks didn't even have dribbles at times. But that was a lifetime ago.

Yep, I remember being taught how to fast break in 7th grade without anyone dribbling.

That’s really impressive. Four centers, and the guy who plays off of KD, Booker, and Beal.

I think it was more important to limit dribbles back then because dribbling had rules.

Maybe so ... 7th grade included TEAM learning to run a Fast Break (2 Wing man and middle man) without dribbling the length of the court.

8th grade was learning to use the WEAKER hand Shooting and Dribbling, but they should have included passing with the weaker hand as well, but were probably afraid of turnovers.

I'm a major Reggie-stan (if you can't tell by the username), but he didn't have this sort of read/timing on his blocks. He did a great job of staying in position, hands high, and using his length.

As you say, seeing a smaller guard block shots like this is pretty unique.
Wade is probably the best analogy.
