Playing slow isn't always physical, this tends to be a mental thing with the top players on the team. Telegraphing passes, eyes off the ball when catching those passes, trotting to positions vs running, etc...

Honestly. As long as team closes out then this may be for the best. Just a bit of a wake up call not to get carried away going into game 2.
