I was so excited to hear this during the game and it was great to see how much it meant to Mike. Of course he handled it like always, with grace and gave the credit to others. He also said if being in gives him a voice he's going to do what he can to see that Tommy becomes the first person in as a player, coach, and broadcaster.

Mike is a study in humility, to the point of it being almost painfully so. Almost a study in New England Puritanicalism.

While it would be a fitting tribute to Tommy, I’m surprised to hear that Mike thinks he’s been “saying what he thinks” more this year — it’s hard to pick up on. I guess he’s mentioned “disappointment” more often. There were the Tatum/Brown leadership comments. Do others think he’s been more opinionated this year, and/or have any examples of such?

By the way, I've always thought Gorman was very comparable to Breen, so it's fitting that they go into the HoF in consecutive years.
